Hi everyone, I'm interested in which path leads from Montaz to Vis. We have a trip in the program and they told us it's possible to do Amalio, down Pipanovi, there a path should start towards Vis, and descent from Vis via Anita Goitan to Corsi hut. Does anyone have more detailed info on this option and how much time such a trip would take? LP Devan

Two days if you're good and experienced, if not, more .... From Montaz to Vis you have two variants:
first: descent to Pecol, then down from Pecola to Sella Neveu, then from Sella Nevea to Vis and onwards as you wrote ...
second: descent from Montaz to Via Leva, along Via Leva to below Šik Hudde ledge, from there take Ceria Merlone path and descent to Mojzesa then again to Vis and onwards as you wrote ...
check the condition in the north face of Montaz, it's possible that on Montaz ledges there's still quite some snow and Via Amalia can't be done

...pikpok ...Last year we hiked this path, see page 16 of Julijske Alpe. From Montaža to Viš via Leva, Ceria Merlone and A. Goitan. There are two posts and also our walking time, which is never the same for everyone. Good luck, it's nice up there
