Monte Caseratte is a peak rising above Aviano or above the hamlet of Costa nearby. Starting point for the hike is the sanctuary Madonna del Monte, reached by a steep road from the valley. The ascent is almost a thousand meters, which is quite a lot given that the peak is "only" 1264m high. We went up the path called "Costa Grande", descended past Casere del Medico and continued on CAI 985. We did the circular tour with a break in four and a half hours. The summit is a great viewpoint, sea below, mountains above Piancavallo and towards home the Julian Alps... I recommend it, it's really nice nasmeh
