The desire to return to the heart of the 'crazy mountains' must have been very strong, as less than a year later the phone rang: "On Sunday I'm going to Monte Jovet." I mumbled something in response. The statement hit me unexpectedly. And then the voice on the other end: "And you're coming too." nasmeh Aha, just not sure if I'll manage with all the difficulties.

Anyway, in Patoc we step onto path 620 and leave it at the bench - neither left nor right, straight up steeply. Probably some kind of madness, but the circular tour seemed too tempting to continue another half hour towards Baretke and turn into the forest at the sign or rather at the two dots. At the latter we returned to the former CAI path on descent.

Through young beeches we push to the ruin and a bit more comfortably beyond it. The steepness is no joke, there are few red dots, but sadly midway they start supplementing with notches in the pines - horrible, haven't the poor trees suffered enough in the fire?

The gully higher up wasn't too bad, additionally we took a section along the ridgelet and found that the orange plastic rope wasn't needed as it drags on the ground.

For the grassy slope under the summit I had no energy left, so I try a sandwich, but after the first bite I just put it back in the backpack and continue. When I reach the top, my companion sits between two cairns with Carnic Čukec above his head. Great. nasmeh

We descend the summit slope and at my wish head to the western top with the pine and from there over grass and after some searching steeply down the descent variant the predecessors mentioned. The continuation of the descent puts a few loops in front of us, which we successfully untangled. At the aforementioned dots we 'braked' onto CAI 620 and returned to Patoc along it with views of Kanin mountains.

Thanks for the company in the 'crazy mountains'.
Morning in Patocu1
At the beginning gently along CAI 6202
'Mad mountains' and among them a mad fortress called Il Cjastelat3
Ruins above the shelter4
Once you pass the young beech wood some viewpoint appears, until ...5
... you reach the poor trees that could not defend against human recklessness6
Here on the rocky ridge7
Snapshot of serenity8
Towards M. Jovet, its eastern heads (in the middle) and Il Cjastelat9
Carnic beauties with the charming Čukec10
To the east across Ciuc di Vallisetta to Monte Cimone11
The rope drags loosely on the ground12
On the return I want to step to the little pine on the western head of M. Jovet13
Cima Robinia like a little one wrapped in green14
To the summit there are only a few steps left ...15
... and already the view carries beyond Bela/Fella to the peaks of the Zuc dal Bôr group16
Imposing fortress Il Cjastelat17
Little pine within reach18
And further down the western variant19
A bit lower and closer to the valley20
The same rope as on the ridge approach below the summit21
Nature regenerates after the 2013 fire - silent fire testimonies persist in silver beauty22
