Friday, 13.9.2019 Monte Zita is a lesser-known peak in the Friulian Dolomites (pre-alpine world of the Carnic Alps). Starting point for the tour is Val Zemola valley, reached from Erto via narrow, partly gravel road. A path to the summit branches off the marked trail to Casera Bedin di Sopra. Summit section is quite demanding, almost no markers or cairns, path barely traceable, plus dense scree and steep grassy slopes. Descent past Casera Bedin on another path even more demanding orientation-wise, lots of fallen trees in forest where the already barely visible unmarked path often vanishes completely. Effort rewarded at summit with heavenly views on Antelao, Duranno, Pelmo, Borgo, Palazzo,... Eyes water from all the beauty. Gorgeous day and superb outing https://tubojan.blogspot.com/2019/09/monte-zita.html
