Morež

"You can't go to Morež", once said an old Baušnčan. Then Henrik Tuma wandered into these parts and turned everything upside down... of course with the help of two locals. We two tackled it today quite "Trentar-style".
From Baušce we went to the Bala hunting hut and a little above it turned onto the hunting path that serves as supply route to the salt lick. From the salt lick onwards pathless. We successfully avoided scree and soon found ourselves below Konjska škrbina. We met two stone cairns that showed us the good direction to the wall. I won't describe details towards the summit, caution recommended to each one who attempts it.
Today despite sunny weather we had quite wet grass even on descent.
Enthused by today's tour and for conclusion I'd add just: " If you can, you can go to Morež" mežikanje

You're persistently replacing the dwarf Špiček with Veliki Ozebnik.

Congratulations on this trentarski ascent, I tackled it myself on Saturday, in the morning the grasses are wet and don't dry until late afternoon. I continued from Morež along the ridge to Votli vrh, then also to Bedinja vrhova and Bauh. The descents from these peaks are especially strenuous, as the terrain is really steep and slippery in places.

Slavko, did you descend to the saddle from Votli vrh without a rope, or did you use the anchor?

I'll say it honestly, it's wiser to use the anchor, but I didn't, since I didn't bring a rope, as I originally planned only the route to Morež, like "svicr", but pleasant conditions and early hour tempted me, as I was at Morež already at 9 am, too early to head to the valley. Great caution is needed for the descent to the grassy saddle below Votli vrh peak, there are quite a few holds and with slow downclimbing it works. Just this successful descent gave me courage to continue along the ridge all the way to Bavh, which is anything but easy, as you yourself described years ago on this forum.

As svicr said six years ago. If you still can, you must go to Morež. Since I feel my emšo will soon say "Ivo, you can't anymore", I decided it's high time for this ascent. When I gathered the team, I excitedly found out our average age is less than 45. At that age, this tour shouldn't be too hard.
From Bavšica we started at 6:15 along the Bale valley under clear sky. In one hour and fifteen minutes we were already at Lovska koča. The pace was obviously too slow, as Nejc and Sašo didn't shut up for a moment.
We continued through the forest on the marked path, but turned left onto pathless terrain just before its end. Here we tried to follow a more or less visible track, which completely disappears when we reached the grassy rocky terrain. For orientation we had the clearly visible Stador, which we had to pass on the right side. A little after nine we were already in Lašte from where the grassy ledges towards Konjska škrbina were nicely visible. We tried to stick to the leftmost ledge as much as possible, but soon turned back because it seemed too exposed. In the end we climbed almost along the bottom of the shallow valley straight towards the col. The weather was also getting farther from ideal. On the right Veliki Ozebnik was visible, Jalovec was in fog all the time. We looked more to the left to spot that triangular scree, but didn't see it. After five hours of walking we stood at Konjska škrbina looking into Koritnica. We knew we missed both Habjan route and Mihelič one, so we had no choice but ascent along the ridge. At the beginning it was wide and comfortable, later we preferred to avoid it to the left Bavška side. Around 12:30 we stepped onto Morež summit without major issues. We barely made one group selfie when it started lightly raining and blowing stronger. As fast as possible we left the summit and started descending wet grasses and muddy rocks. Not a good feeling at all. Although the rain stopped quickly, I was very grateful to Nejc for directing from below. In the end, reluctantly, I admitted it to him. Suddenly we spotted the triangular scree under us, or something similar with a bit of imagination. To it was a 5-10 meter jump that we could climb with a bit of caution, but we decided for rappel so that sherpa Sašo wouldn't carry the rope for nothing.
After the descent, we went down to Lašte and continued left along the long valley parallel to Loški greben. We hit the marked path at Lanževica. To Učni center Bavšica we had another two hours, there cold Laško and hot shower awaited us. Awesome!
Follow pictures from "foto Leje", but uploading them is a bigger problem for me.

You chose a long path to Morež.
Probably so that you enjoyed it longer. nasmeh
Closest and easiest would be left past Stador (on path to Briceljk) and behind it diagonally right up to the ridge and to the summit.

You know Tone, they need him more than I need them.
Drago, do you get to the ridge behind the big tower that needs to be bypassed if you traverse the Bricelk - Morež ridge.

Yes, you bypass the tower on the right side.
