Good day! I don't know if it's the right place to write such a topic but I don't understand everything so I will try here. I'm updating the guide book about Slovenia for Polish tourists, I've already visited your beautiful country, it was a great trip! Now I need to do one more thing: to check if the durations of hikes included in our guide book are correct. I've already written almost everywhere, to Mountain Museum in Mojstrana, to Triglav National Park, to tourist info centers in Tolmin, Kranjska Gora, Tržič etc. and almost nobody answered or couldn't help me. In Poland we have schemes like that: http://slowacja.hej.pl/map_tz100.gif With the time of walking each trail. I couldn't find anything similar but if you know that something like that exists, please let me know. I would be very thankful for any help smile This is the list of the mountain hikes suggestions: Julijske Alpe: 1) Dom v Tamarju – Slatnica – Vratca – Hanzova pot – Mala Mojstrovka – Vršič – Vratca – Dom v Tamarju (about 8 h) 2) Mihov dom (na Vršiču) – Koča v Krnici – Lipnica – Špik – Mihov dom (7 h 30 min) 3) Vršič – Kopiščarjeva pot – Prisank – Gladki rob – Vršič (7 h) 4) Aljažev dom – Bivak pod Luknjo – Luknja – Bambergova pot – Triglav – Triglavski dom na Kredarici – Pot čez Prag – Aljažev dom (10 h) 5) Aljažev dom – Dovška vrata – Stenar – Pogačnikov dom – Bovška vratica – Bivak IV – Aljažev dom (8 h 30 min) 6) Aljažev dom – Strme police – Zadnji dolek – Škrlatica – Dolkova špica – Bivak IV – Aljažev dom (9 h 30 min) 7) Koča pri Savici – Črno jezero – Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih – Tičarica – Hribarice – Dolič – Dom Planika – Triglav – Tržaška koča – Kanjavec – Dolina Triglavskih Jezer – Črno jezero – Koča pri Savici (15 h) 8) Koča pri Savici – Dom na Komni – Kser – Tolminski Kuk – Škrbina – Planina za Migovcem – Dom na Komni – Koča pri Savici (8 h 30 min) 9) Zavetišče na Planine Kuhinja – Gomiščkovo zavetišče – Krn – Prag – Jezero v Lužnici – Zavetišče na Planine Kuhinja (6 h 30 min) 10) Bovec – Prestreljeniški podi – Visoki Kanin – Prestreljenik – Prestreljeniški podi – Bovec (5 h) 11) Bovec – Prestreljeniški podi – Prevala – Bivak Speleo – Rombon – Bovec (7 h) 12) Mangartska koča – Slovenska pot – Mangart – Italjanska pot – Mangartska koča (4 h) 13) Soča – Planina nad Sočo – Bavški Grintavec – Kanski preval – Planina Zapotok – Flori – Koča pri Izviru Soče (9 h) 14) Koča pri Izviru Soče – planina Flori – Zavetišče pod Špičkom – Jalovec – Jalovška škrbina – Na kotlu – planina Flori – Koča pri Izviru Soče (10 h) 15) Vršič – Gladki rob – Sedlo Planja – Razor – Pogačnikov dom – Zadnjica – Na Logu (Trenta) (10 h) Karawanke: 16) Dovje – Mlinca – Kepa – Belca (8 h 30 min) 17) Žirovnica – Valvasorjev dom – Prešernova koča – Stol – Belščica – Dom Pristava – Jesenice (9 h 30 min) 18) Tržič (dolina) – Kal – Dom na Kofcah – Veliki vrh – Kladivo – Škrbina – Dom na Kofcah – Jelendol (10 h 30 min) Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe: 19) Dom v Kamniški Bistrici – Kamniško sedlo – Planjava – Kocbekov dom – Presedljaj – Dom v Kamniški Bistrici (10 h) 20) Dom v Kamniški Bistrici – Kokrsko sedlo – Bivak – Mlinarsko sedlo – Grintovec – Kokrsko sedlo – Dom v Kamniški Bistrici (8 h 30 min) 21) Dolina Kamniški Bistrici – Velika planina – Gradišče – Dom na Veliki planini – Dom na Mali planini – Stahovica (6 h 30 min) 22) Koča pod slapom Rinka – Slap Rinka – Okrešelj – Turska gora – Kotliči – Brana – Kamniška koča – Frischaufov dom – Koča pod slapom Rinka (8 h)

Hi, I would just like to warn you about the hikes no. 10 and 11. These hikes depend on the use of the Kanin cableway which is currently not operational and it is very questionable if and when it will be in service again. Without the aid of the cableway the length of these hikes increases greatly and they can become quite difficult to do, especially since the Skalar Hut has also been closed since the cableway is not in service.

OK, thanks for the information about the cable car, it's really helpful. I think the durations are generally correct, of course it's not easy to estimate it, because it depends on too many things (weather, size of a group, stamina etc.) but I can't see any big mistakes there. What do you think?

For hikes 20 and 22 the estimated time is cca 10 h. It's not clear where you will approach Turska gora - through Turski žleb or Kotliči?

For the hike 20, I think it would not pass Turska gora. As for 22, it is self-evident if it is meant to be a round tour. I would also like to stress the importance of informing people about the technical difficulty of the itineraries. Many of these require at least basic, if not a bit advanced, via ferrata technique knowledge, some are exposed,... although it is true that none of them can compare with some even more difficult ones in other alpine countries. The difficulty of ours can reach max. somewhere about C grade by an Austrian scale and even this for only a few.

There is some short description about every route included, difficulty as well. Hike 20: it doesn't pass Turska gora Hike 22: the route goes through Turski žleb Do you think I should change the duration of 20 and 22?

Guys, what about hike number 8? I heard that it is much much longer in reality. Is it true?

Thanks! It's not the first suggestion that n8 is longer in reality. What about the other hikes? Does anyone see any mistakes in the duration? (I think generally the duration is written for fast hikers)
