Hi In case of an accident our "last" hope when they come to help is GRS. Their website: http://www.grzs.si/ Already in advance big thanks for their work, they risk their lives for rescuing hikers, mountaineers, alpinists. They leave their families and go to rescue. But just thanking is not enough, where do they get money from. Namely we could pitch in and help them financially. PZS takes larger part of various memberships for its business. Who finances all this rescue, from the budget?

I agree with you LG about GRS members. If you want to support them financially check their website where they have Okrešelj Fund. Besides all PD and many huts sell GRS Supporter stickers and with that you donate to GRS. I respect them very much and their volunteer work is just reflection of what stuff they are made of; selfless help to people anytime and anywhere.

Austrian Carinthian rescue association + tourenforum, also TK mountains, for greater awareness and reporting conditions in mountains http://kaernten.bergrettung.at/forum/ Regarding avalanche warning they say avalanche danger is very tense and unconditionally recommend checking local reports on snowpack condition!
