After yesterday's jaunt above Pokljuka, today I rode a nice mountain bike tour around or over the peaks above Sorisko Planina.
I start at the parking lot below the planina and for starters there were a few 100m of asphalt towards Bohinj, then sharply left and a nice gravel path to the Vrh Bače saddle. Here it's all full of cars, since this is one of the starting points for Črna Prst. I continue towards Šavnik and Možic, pleasant riding is replaced by a combination of riding, carrying and pushing the bike. Well, that's part of a good mtb tour Soon I'm in the clearing under the southern slopes of Šavnik, after crossing it, the last ascent to the mulatjera between the peaks above Sorisko planina awaits me and with that the end of pushing - carrying the bike. On the mulatjera though I'm pleasantly surprised by the neat and locally colored (slate) bike markers. I turn towards Možic and a pleasant ascent soon brings me to the dome. Here follows a bit of lounging in the shelter and enjoying the views. Then the reward for all the previous effort. First some descent then a little ascent and then descent again on the nice wide mulatjera past the barracks and on the southern slopes of Slatnik high above Baška grapa to the saddle between Slatnik and Lajnar. Here again some pushing to the top of Lajnar then just descent to the start. Super tour!
Otherwise on Soriska planina today quite a crowd, both hikers and cyclists and full sky of paragliders. Really pleasant tour, the weather was just right. For the icing on the cake also liquid refreshment in the full brunarica

Wow, interesting choice of ascent 
Next time it's better to descend from Vrh Bače to the hunting hut and from there on the fully bikeable mulatjera you get to Možic; after your ascent variant you descend down

Three exclamation marks mean we're shouting at someone. Probably not meant that way. We all can have our ideas and pleasures in nature. For now luckily there's plenty of space for everyone.

Gregor, nice tour. But the variant on mulatjeras to Kovce and with ascent to the saddle between Lajnar and Slatnik is also "rich".

Whoever knows the described paths or has walked there knows that they are not really suitable for cycling, even if someone calls it "MTB Možic", because between the peaks of Soriska planina you'll walk (carry, push the bike) more than ride.
Nowadays unfortunately all sorts of signs and markers are put up in many places for as many different visitors or recreationalists as possible. A few days ago I saw cyclists even at Bogatinsko sedlo
For the judgment of normal MTB bike users on Sorishe hills: real fun is rarely found where it's sought.

Anyway @GregorC nice tour you did, but don't take those specialkars seriously. For them it's important to have a fancy bike, shiny clothes and space (maybe even a gassed road), to show off a bit. 
MTB are sweat, gravel, mud and peace!

urbe, yeah the choice of ascent direction wasn't the most successful, but curiosity tormented me how it looks. The variant from the hunting hut to the saddle I know and have ridden. It's really a better choice.
gams1 paths around the peaks above Soriska planina are 100% rideable. You carry it at most uphill where I was climbing. In my case it was about 70% riding and 30 carrying - pushing.
@mailman - nice greeting to you too. I met tons of hikers and no bad mood. On the contrary. Lots of good mood and mutual respect. So once again it confirmed that naggers are more or less only on forums

Nice tour, the climb from Rutkot up isn't a piece of cake either. Especially the start.

Today I opened MTB season. Up top cloudy/foggy with some wind, nice –4 °C. Snow perfect for biking, even though I avoided the ski area.
