Yesterday during a ramble first time on Mrzli vrh. Nice, interesting and somewhat remote world, into whose embrace I'll probably return. Regards

Nice Zoran. When I was there first time, we belayed on the right traverse on ascent.

Zoran, you reminded me of my last year's ascent on Mrzli vrh. And Nessy's. I did leave her before the last ascent, before that right traverse, but she sneaked quietly after me to the top And I wasn't even mad, the descent just worried me, but Nessy is half chamois, so we had no problems on the way down either. Well, she didn't have any, I wasn't so indifferent Ascent to Mrzli vrh really isn't for everyone, very demanding, exposed, above all adrenaline-packed, since nothing is secured, so you can't afford a mistake.

Hard-to-reach summit? From this side really nothing special for those who go off-trail. From the other side though short, crumbly and exposed access!

Hands in pockets, Drago. For me, it was the cherry on the cake! Maybe the detail on the descent surprised me. No doubt, slip and lucky!. I'll look at the other side too.

Drago, for you surely Mrzli vrh is a little thing, but that's your subjective opinion. Mine is different - although used to off-trail, surprised by difficulty and exposure. True, a couple of meters of harder terrain, but enough for a mistake. Someone not used to the terrain reads your comment, thinks ah if this one wrote nothing special, I can go. Many have not heard of Mrzli vrh. So be careful with such comments that the summit is nothing special. Because it is. Therefore not much visit.

Last October I was in a dilemma too. Due to ice, I turned right, where it went without problems.

Polona, when you wrote you were up there with a dog, you already added the peak among the easier accessible ones. So the advice didn't go in the right direction. Anyway, this peak isn't particularly interesting in that part, among other peaks. Interesting only in winter.

To this peak I got only along the ridge where you have to be extremely careful; down here I always descended. I agree with Drago, if the little dog did it easily then it can't be hard; hope you don't mind the comment. Good luck

Drago, not quite, since my little dog is really half chamois, a real phenomenon. She surprised even me on this trip, or rather I saw what she can actually do, especially she's not afraid of anything. There aren't many such dogs, so it's not right to judge by her. Personally I enjoyed the scrambling, only that right traverse required a bit more caution. Dejan, I don't hold anything against anyone, everyone has their opinion and that's right. I just want to say that the ascent to this peak shouldn't be underestimated, as it's not easy. Previous comments confirm that, many mention belaying. If there's nothing to it, then belaying wouldn't be needed either. Better to warn about it than have some unnecessary accident, right?

Anyway...it's not difficulty II,III+, 150m and 6 hours hiking one way if you go only to this peak. Compared to that Mrzli vrh is not hard to access. But it's exposed and has some difficulties to overcome from the saddle side to get to the top. I agree with Polona that it's better to warn about possible difficulties if someone who hasn't been up there decides to visit. I was up there first time and as a 'greenhorn' compared to Drago's experience, this peak and area here is very nice and interesting to me. A cozy corner to rest the heart!

Ha ha, Polona wants to convince us that her little dog is half chamois. Isn't there something ancient Greek involved? Otherwise zokipoki nicely described the ascent from this side in the last comment (first paragraph). In descriptions objectivity is most important. Of course it can't be given without rating the ascent, as tried here. For pathless descriptions the most sure and objective are http://www2.arnes.si/~mcuder/.

Hey, you can see there were storms in these parts. Yes, Mrzli vrh is a small "guy" with quite big respect in this "little ridge" and whoever takes it too lightly quickly realizes (who has been to M. gora), that ascent on normal route to Mrzla gora is very "bearable", hi hi.

The key detail to Mrzli vrh is in the marked circle of Zokipoki's photo from 2.8.21. I went up and down here (over the rock I pulled myself with hands and on the other side felt with foot). To the right at the beginning I roped a bit and because of too much exposure and no hold that wouldn't come loose in hand I turned back. Good luck

That detail is really a bit 'airy', but in dry rock unproblematic, since the gully is royally wide. But it's understandable that it's not for vertigo sufferers.
