Almost to all Zasavje hills (and almost to the top) roads lead, so they can thus also be connected among themselves, for a well-planned trip – you just need to choose a good starting point; if you drive to Zasavje from Lj, Trbovlje is a good starting point, e.g. from the church of St. Martin, where there's also a larger parking lot nearby. Suggested trip route: Trbovlje – Gabrsko – Pri Jagru – Podmeja – Marija Reka - Mrzlica - Kal – Hrastnik – over Boben – over Ostenk - Trbovlje Most of the roads have an asphalt base, but from Marija Reka onwards and the climbs in the Mrzlica landscape park have the character of forest roads; you need a good mountain bike and suspension especially on the descent from Mrzlica towards Kal, which runs along a hiking trail; a few times in between – if you're not an expert, for your own and others' safety it's recommended to dismount the bike a little. Through the forest to Kal there's then still a short ascent, but it's not difficult. From the PD on Kal to Hrastnik there's a nice descent, from Hrastnik over Boben there's again a little ascent, from there - instead of the main road to Trbovlje, I recommend the descent on a narrower and more scenic road, starting past the chapel over Ostenk, which brings you to the starting point at the end, a stone's throw from where you parked. Along the route there are more opportunities for rest or refreshment, the most logical choice is the PD on Mrzlica. Variant of the last part of the route: under Kal you can turn towards Čeče, from there to the valley with more options.
