Not sure if I heard correctly but it seems they made a new via ferrata on Croda dei Toni - Zwölferkofel. It's a nice or prominent mountain when ascending from Fiscalina valley to Zsigmondy-Comici hut. I wonder if anyone has data or a description of the via ferrata (starting point, times, difficulty, ...). I know the description of the normal climbing route to the summit, for data on possible via ferrata I commend myself. LP

Last fall I spotted info that they renovated the 16-year closed secured path 107 which circles Zwolfer massif, doesn't go to summit! Start in valley at Berghotel, to hut Zsigmondy - left to hut Carducci, there to path 107 around mountain to other side to hut Bullele joch and return. By description it's cca 8hr up-down tour, poorly marked but traceable path where you only accidentally meet a living soul. Wife and I already walked some of it and have to say these are really fantastic places. Good luck and steady step

On the link below a video of this path is posted. Otherwise as mirank wrote, path does not lead to summit, ends are really among best in Dolomites.. video

So as not to talk about what we heard, we went to try the thing ourselves. As usual in this area, we started in the shade at Dolomitenhof and past Zsigmondy-Comici hut (where it was already nicely warming us) continued traversing to the left under the north face of Zwölfer to Giralba saddle. There on the long rope a sea of flags flapping in the wind somewhat creates a Tibet impression . Short descent to Carducci hut and already the less trodden but solidly marked path continues to the right a bit down and then up again to Maria saddle (last 100m very unstable terrain, protection here and there where necessary). At this notch the ferrata starts, which seems completely new, the first little bridge surprises you around the corner soon after, further on there are no very demanding details. When the path already turns west the trail turns into a traverse of very steep meadows, where the continuation (due to low traffic) without new marker poles would be untraceable. As soon as the trail approaches the overhanging walls again you sense that it will get serious again; here there are a couple of more demanding passages, say in the style of the hardest passages on Kopiščarjeva, and again an adrenaline traverse of the "bottomless" gully on a new little bridge. A bit further it eases up, but now laborious ascent on scree of Val Grava secca awaits us; cca 200m, where everything screes down so freshly that the color of the "passage" marks comes off with you, of course if you touch them. At dei Agnel saddle the standard bivouac de Toni awaits you. Break in the company of 8 Belluno guys, who then descend to Val Marden, while we continue traversing across long easy scree fields under the west wall of the mountain towards Forcella Croda dei Toni saddle. The traverse of the intermediate steep snowfield is easy, as it is protected by a cable. Obviously 8h of walking was not enough for us , as instead of the comfortable scree to Comici hut we chose the extension under Coller peak and descended on nice ledges, ditches and grooves to Bullele joch - Pian di cengia and from there past Comici to the car (10h with all stops). Warning: access from Auronzo direction and then Giralba valley closed due to rockfalls and landslide (as far as I understood already on the road).
