On Velika Planina it's always nice

I believe it's nice, but there have already been quite a few criticisms due to excessive banging, which doesn't belong in the mountains at all.

That's true and not only on the Planina, I also ran into people in Bohinj who were setting off pyrotechnics. And probably these aren't isolated cases at all.
But you have to come to terms with it, since with nice words you achieve nothing with these people

Best indicators that there's no crisis in Slovenia: parking lots at shopping centers packed to the brim and banging like on the front. Our southern brothers would say it has, it can. Crisis and recession are already present, but artificially created. As long as folks are walking out of shopping centers with full carts, no need to fear crisis.

I think there will be quite a few who will spend New Year's Eve under our atomic Triglav. It tempts me a bit too. Maybe someone from experience knows which path will be the most "trodden" and how long the path takes in winter conditions? Thanks!

The most trodden in normal conditions is surely the path from Krma. Time depends mainly on snow conditions and fresh snow. After heavy snowfall, approach is not recommended.

Mountaineering Association Nova Gorica is also this year organizing New Year's celebration in the Mountain Hut at Krn Lakes.
Price of New Year's half-board for adults is 42 EUR and includes New Year's dinner, overnight stay and breakfast. Price for children up to 12 years inclusive is 25€. I don't know if it's wise to go up on Wednesday. Snow won't bond to the base, it can blow into lungs with wind, lots of wind slabs, temp with chill effect refreshing -40°C
