Nice greeting.

My friend and I want to do a two-day hike this weekend.

1.(Logarska-Ojstrica-Planjava-Kamniško s.)

2.(Kamniško s.-Brana-Turska g.-Koroška r.-Okrešelj-Logarska).

Below I list times and elevation meters that I found in books and online. Wondering if they are fairly accurate:

Day 1

Logarska-Ojstrica 4:15 (1580m)

Ojstrica-Planjava 1:30 (385m)

Planjava-Kamniško s. 1:00 (10m)

Total 6:45 (1975m)

Day 2

Kamniško s.-Brana 1:00 (390m)

Brana-Turska g. 2:00 (380m)

Turska g.-Turski ž. 0:30 (0m)

Turski ž.-Koroška r. 1:00 (320m)

Koroška r.-Okrešelj ??? (3h)(10m)

Okrešelj-Logarska 1:00 (0m)

Total 8:30 (1100m)

Especially interested in the path from Koroška rinka to Okrešelj (time and descent difficulty)?

Hope it's not too demanding.

Thanks for any response and advice.

The mentioned times of the mentioned paths are still quite accurate, but don't rely on them. Also, descent from Koroška Rinka is not quite right - too little!, maybe for someone in ideal conditions. On long paths, one needs to count on stops, weather conditions, food, snowfields etc. The backpack is heavier then too! Reserves and smartly, with proper gear. Lp

What about the descent to savinjsko sedlo?

Descent from Koroška Rinka to Mrzli dol and further to Savinjsko sedlo, without descent to Okrešelj, is possible. Here a secured climbing path leads, which overcomes 500 m elev. downhill. It is harder, self-belay kit and helmet are necessary. To Savinjsko sedlo, we take about two hours. Lp-Rok.

I did most of the route last year. I suggest the route in the opposite direction - easier downhill, harder uphill. Personally, the path from Mrzli dol to Križ (upwards) does not seem too difficult to me - it is very steep (precipitous) and exposed in places. I recommend self-belaying.

Path to Križ - if I go from Mrzli dol to Križ - what are the options from the summit of Križ further on??
Lp
Is that Križ??1

I can't find anywhere the description of the path/or descent from that mountain! Is the photo I took from Mrzla gora Križ or another mountain?

That should hold, the photo shows Križ (Koroška Rinka). Left next to it (her) the wall of Štajerska Rinka.
From the top of Križ onwards? There's only one marked path. Shorter descent above Male Pode, then to the highest, Kranjska Rinka. nasmeh
Then you can descend a bit lower and follow the markings to Skuta, left to Turska gora etc., etc... mežikanje

Volk, thanks
I was in the dark, because I didn't know until today that Koroška Rinka is otherwise called Križ!!
Therefore, I also didn't see any description for Križ anywhere - now I'll know where what belongs! It seems both names are used.

Rinke. Along the wall of Mala runs a secured path through Turski žleb, Štajerski vrh is so inconspicuous from above that it tempts almost no one (more alpinists, with its bold north face). Križ or Koroška Rinka, junction of three lands (Koroška, Štajerska and Kranjska), hence the name. Kranjska, the highest, offers a beautiful view of the neighboring mightier Skuta ...
It draws a person like a magnet, the view that holds them in connection, but what when it's not gravelly at all, quite the opposite!
Anyway, all four are beautiful. How could they not be; above Mali Podi together from afar they show a noble crown image ... nasmeh
Skuta and Rinke, with Brana's shadow ...1

fpetel1 good suggestion for reverse direction, hope the weather allows, but as it looks now there won't be anything this weekend.

Maybe shorter trip each day early in the morning.

Hello. With my girlfriend we plan to do a two-day tour in summer, we want to conquer Brana, Planjava and Ojstrica. Interested where to start and which hut would be best to book overnight. Thanks for any answer! nasmeh

I would go from Logarska past Koča na Klemenčevi jami, then via Kopinškova to Ojstrica, over Škarje to Planjava and to Kamniško sedlo. Second day from saddle to Brana and then down to Frischaufov dom at Okrešelj, past Rinka waterfall and on to the car. But it's a very demanding route (regarding the first day).

Thanks ms primoz. I'll study your suggestion, but I think if we start early in the morning we could reach Kamniško sedlo even by dusk. Fitness shouldn't be an obstacle factor.. thanks again. nasmeh

"Zupi" if fitness and difficulty are no problem then there's also the variant to go next day from Brana via Kotliči to Turska gora and via Turski žleb to Okrešelj and on to the car. It's of course a very demanding route.

Zupi, it's also possible to start a bit before Kamniška Bistrica: go up the Bela Valley to Korošica (hut), leave excess luggage there and from there to the top of Ojstrica. Overnight at Korošica. Next day go towards Kamniško sedlo, on the way hop to Planjava, from Kamniško sedlo make a detour to Brana, then descend to Kamniška Bistrica. All marked, but not quite simple and very strenuous, especially in summer heat.
Possible also in reverse: overnight at Kamniško sedlo and go to Brana on day 1. Maybe the first variant is better time-wise.
Descriptions and times in Seznam gora.
best regards.

Thanks Saš1967, your suggestion also pleases me a lot, especially since we don't know Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe yet and every info is useful nasmeh
Thanks also to you Macesna, but I think we'll start from Logarska. Maybe next year from Kamniška Bistrica nasmeh
