For yesterday Velkavrh assured me of good weather (dry grasses), so I set off to visit this ¨upright one¨. Almost on every tour some anomaly happens to me, this time I missed the start by about a quarter hour and was already reeling from the sun after Zadnja Trenta, which was already showing above Plešivec and Trentski Pelc. Only the water at planina Zapotok refreshed me. Quickly I find myself Za Razorcem, put on gloves and bite into the short but very steep sharp grasses. To saddle 2053 between Veliki Jelenk and Oltar I spent quite some energy in the heat, the ascent to the top was short and sweet. On the summit there's also a slightly shaky anchor in case of alpinistic ridge traverse. Since I handled the thing fairly quickly, I circled the foot of Skutnik and headed toward Nizki vrh. But no luck. At the saddle instead of left, I turn right and soon mistakenly find myself under Zadnji Pelc. The mistake needed immediate correction of course. Then long descent to the waterfall above Zapotok, where I shower and refill water. I finish the ramble with cappuccino in Tonkina koča under Vršič.
Quite a few pics accumulated, whoever finds them superfluous can ignore them.

With the visit to this rock I finished the list of Trenta two-thousanders and, as Drago says, put the strawberry on top of the cake. Here nature is really a chapter of its own. Steep grasses, pathless areas, solitude. Marjan and Matjaž, sadly I'm not the best photographer; this time severe heat also blurred the distant shots, which I'm trying to make up for with a detailed description. The accesses are really more distant (Vršič, Predel), but you can ascend each of these mountains in a good three hours. Anja, whoever likes walking in processions goes towards Komna, Sedmeri, Kriška poda, Triglav...

Tone, what did you mean by that you've finished with Trenta two-thousanders? Or did you forget that you promised me a joint visit to Špičica and Skutnik at the beginning of June? zmeden

Come on, come on - just yesterday under "general discussions" I posted the access to Špičica, which is not demanding and you can come alone, (on ZS I can describe the whole path in detail to you), but Skutnik is really making me a bit nostalgic and we'll arrange for it sometime.
