Oplotniški vintgar

Since the weather was still holding up quite nicely, my wife, younger son, and I decided to hike the hitherto undescribed Oplotniški Vintgar here. We drove to Oplotnica and parked at the former "lipa". We set off on foot along the road towards Cezlak to the sharp bend, where the path through Oplotniški Vintgar begins. The path runs along the Oplotniščica stream the whole time and is not steep. Up to the bridge at Jorčova žaga it follows the right side of the stream, then the left. The path is nicely maintained, along it there are plenty of remains of former sawmills and mills, old beeches and of course benches for resting. At the end of the otherwise short path there is also a real "picnic place", where there are no shortages of benches, tables and of course a fireplace, where something can be cooked for hungry mouths.
The entire path at moderate pace takes no more than one hour.

Today we took a family walk through the vintgar.
To the above description I'd add that it's worth descending to the remains of Flosarjev mlin, a little further from the sign a cart track branches off to the left, which descends to the remains of the mill.
From the "picnic place" or Doline miru at the stone turtle we continued the path to Šolarjeva power plant.
