Does anyone perhaps know how many hours of walking it is from the train station in Trbovlje to Partizanski Peak?

From the station to the starting point 45 min., then up the hill approx. two hours to the top. Or you can take a taxi (approx. 1€) to Livarna then follow the markings (two hours). You can also start at the hospital and past Klek through Planinska vas to the top.

Today we headed to Partizanski Peak in real winter conditions. There was quite a lot of snow on the entire path. We chose Potoška vas as starting point. Obviously this path isn't visited much in winter, as we had to make the track ourselves on part of the path. At the top there was 40 cm of snow, and wind was blowing too, so it was nice to warm up by the stove in the hut. In sunny weather nice views opened up over the whitened Zasavje hills.

Yesterday after Friday's reconnaissance with my Škofja Loka retirees to Holy Meadow. For Javor, which we actually planned, we ran out of time. Yes, maybe it would have worked if we turned to Javor right before Holy Meadow and descended directly from Javor peak along the pasture to the monument before St. Lenart's churchlet in Vrhe village. But we wanted to go to the top of Holy Meadow to the viewpoint and see the interesting Marian church at least from outside. The key should be gotten at the inn by the church. The inn was closed and as I mentioned looks a bit abandoned. At the inn other hikers who went only from Vrhe village to Holy Meadow were already waiting for us. Together we went to the bus waiting at the monument before Vrhe village. It took us to good goulash and strudel at the hunting lodge at Podmeja pass. It was really good. Highly recommend! On Friday during reconnaissance at Javor top we didn't notice any little path down to Vrhe village. I read that you need to search passages through those trees on the meadow edge and go down along the meadow. Will have to hike that another time.

Across the road at Podmeja pass to the right on the forest path to Knezdol village.

At the end of the village then on the marked path to Sveta Planina.

At some isolated house, when we come out of the forest we turn right a bit uphill.

There follows a nice path through the forest, only a bit steep.

We arrive at a nice clearing with a nice hunting observation post.

To the Koča pod Javorjem we have a bit of steepness again, but not too much.

It's nice here, but the hut's surroundings give the impression that no one has been here for a long time.

We ascend to the viewpoint where the summit of Svete Planine is.

Again a little downhill to Marijina cerkvica.

The renovated bell tower is separate from the chapel. Valvasor already wrote that the border between Styria and Carinthia runs here.

I don't know what this inscription next to the chapel means.

Proof that we are really on Sveta planina.

Below the church is a guesthouse - former miners' home.

The weather was nice, and there's also a bit of shade.

There are still signs from 1955 to 1990 named Svete Planine-Partizanski vrh.

At the intersection before the village Vrhe.

It wouldn't hurt to read these verses a little.

There is also a mountain hut here - it looks abandoned.

On goulash in the Hunting Lodge at Podmeja pass.

Has the situation with the inn on the Meadow improved? Is there anything to eat?

We went in a loop from Gabrsko, but joined the path from Trbovlje for about 3 km.. A bit on that one, then a bit on the one to Vrhe and at the end again some (unmarked) descent variant towards the parking..
