Path along the Savinja

Due to an unpromising weather forecast, we set out on the path along the Savinja today. We just looked at the hills and mountains from the valley and reminisced about walked paths and made plans for the next weekend (hope it will be more pleasant weather-wise).
We started the path at the bridge over the Savinja (Šempeter/Latkova vas)-Grobeljski bridge at 6:20. We finished in Celje - 8:45 (bridge in the park). The path is more overgrown with bushes at the start and wider and cleared closer to Celje. Along the path there are benches for rest and trash bins all the way. It's extremely suitable for runners, only before Celje there are lots of walkers with pets and from my own experience it's not pleasant to run when you meet dogs every few meters who take you for fleeing game. Otherwise the path is suitable for an outing - you can check out the lake in Vrbje (very well maintained) and lots of lake animals.
When you don't know what to do, treat yourself to this path and check out the flow of the Savinja and surroundings. Easy and relaxing.
Path length approx. 13km.
