Hello!

Has anyone been conquering the peaks above Dom Valentina Staniča in these days: Rjavina, Cmir, Begunjski vrh, Vrbanove špice? What are the conditions like?

Thanks for the info, best regards!

Hi!

We were returning yesterday from Staniča to Kot valley, because the wind was blowing too strongly and we didn't dare continue to Kredarica (the aim was Triglav). The mentioned peaks are snow-free, as far as could be seen, and the forecast for today also predicts strong winds. I hope this helps. Best, Tanja

Many thanks for the reply. I'm heading there on Monday and hope the wind will have calmed down.
Best regards!

Hi everyone.

Given that bad weather is forecast for tomorrow, you probably advise against going from Krma to Planika...?

What are the conditions on the way to Planika otherwise? Probably quite ok judging by some comments....

Thanks

On Sunday, 28.7.2013, after spending the night at Dom Valentina Staniča, we did a tour: Rž - Begunjski vrh - Visoka Vrbanova špica - Za Cmirom - Vrata.

Despite the high heat we had a great time and enjoyed the magnificent views velik nasmeh

The path behind Cmir is great for descent, as we cross many fantastic scree fields and can thus quickly get down to the Vrata valley velik nasmeh

You can see pictures from the hike on the website of Planinsko društvo Matica Murska Sobota: http://www.mojalbum.com/pdmaticams/20130728-rz-begunjski-vrh-vrbanova-spica/jutranji-razgled-iz-doma-valentina-stanica-na-triglav/20959709

Hello!

There is a connecting path along the surrounding peaks of Dom Valentina Staniča. This path if traversed fully is rewarded. The reward is donated by PD Javornik Koroška Bela. I see that some peaks are missing for the award in the form of a diploma and a very useful and quality practical prize. Too bad!

Best regards and safe in the mountains!

Hello,
has anyone recently walked the path Kot-Vrbanove špice-Triglav-Rjavina-Kot? I'm mainly interested in the conditions on the path to Vrbanove špice and the descent over Rjavina to Kot.
best regards

Hi andrej78!
I did a circular Kot (via climbing)-Rjavina-Kot last week. Conditions without remarks: no snow patches on the path, belays are good. The route is among the very demanding secured ones. Helmet mandatory, self-belay kit recommended.
Best regards, Blaž

Vrbanovi Špici in the descent part of the tour. Everything solidly arranged, some short sections collapsed, additional caution needed.

Hi,
this weekend I'm heading to the mountains above Stanič hut (Rjavina, Vrbanove, Cmir), interested in the following:
- how are snow patches on climbing routes (assume no more issues, but better ask)
- condition of paths (cables, pegs); last info they're well maintained
- is the path from marked Kota to hut still wet/slippery under so-called Thick Stone?
- which direction do you recommend for ascent: Vrbanove Špice - Rjavina (climbing up, down ridge) or reverse
Thanks in advance for any info, happy in mountains :-)
LP,
Jaka
