Peaks of Logatec and surroundings

Already in spring I walked back and forth a huge number of municipal paths, especially towards Planinsko polje, Hotederšica. Also circled around officially known peaks several times, which are described on Hribi.net and located in our municipality.
Today I decided to connect individual sections and make one longer tour: 22.25km, 5h and 869m elevation gain. Yeah I know, hard to gain elevation herezadrega
So start at Hofru, along footpath to Ženčk hill (575m), popular among paragliders as the slope to the north or south is grassy and provides suitable updraft from either direction. Then descent and small ascent continuing to better known Sekirca (545m), where on NW side ski jumps reign. We have four! And even if no snow, they make artificial snow and they are lit up late into the night. From there along forest clearing (lubadar) descent and another rise to third household "peak" Tičnica (530m).
From there across Gornji Logatec to Kalce village and traverse ascent along cart track past meadows, forest sections, to Ravnik: to St. Barbara church (674m). Barely made it as farmers fenced around with pastures and electric fences. At the church Javorniki, Golaki, in distance Julijci with Triglav show nicely (already before along path).
Followed descent from Ravnik to Hotenjsko podolje past known Pr Plešnar homestead and later past so-called Cuntova grapa. Path nicely marked, away from village bustle: forests, hayfields, birds and animals just for yourself! Real balm nasmeh
Followed another small ascent to Šenčurjev Vrh (725m) above Žibrše. From here view opens to Blegoš, Triglav and Kanjavec and KSA! Very nice and quiet amid meadows. Followed hike to Žibrše and then ridge traverse to Smolevc peak (693m), right above big Logatec quarry. From quarry top best view of entire Logatec valley!velik nasmeh
Followed descent to Gorenji Logatec then ascent past Taborska church, through Blekovske gmajne to top of these woods called Koš (564m). From there descent to Logatec and home.
Relatively long hike but full of fresh air, breeze in hair and away from city bustle. For soul and recharging batteries these days. Logatec has, say, little less than 9800 inhabitants!eek More than Postojna, Slov. Bistrica, etc.!

In Logatec municipality really hard to gain elevation. Maybe Travni vrh will tempt you too.

I haven't heard of Travni vrh yet... I'll visit it. Tnx! velik nasmeh

Although it surprises me that it would be in our municipality, especially as the highest peak, since Srnjak at 919m is mentioned everywhere as the highest. Otherwise no view from the top due to forest, but a bit lower there's a nicely arranged viewpoint. This year they expanded and upgraded it. I'll go up soon and post pics in the open thread...

Today with daughter did a route through some points, peaks of Logatec area, namely Sekirca, Ženčk, then descent "from behind" to Kalce settlement, from there ascent and walk along the ridge to Ravnik above Hotedršica, where coffee break followed. Then hike over the saddle above Cuntova grapa to Žibrše settlement (Šenčurjev vrh peak), then along the ridge to Smolevc quarry (ruined already to the topmrk pogled) and descent to the valley and return home past the ski jumps.
Total 21.5km, 507m ascent and super nature and enjoyment in peace, clean air and bird song! nasmeh
