Morning at pl. Kuhinja was cold. The cold was intensified even more by the wind, so the zero shown by the car thermometer would have been quite welcome. Fortunately, a considerable part of the path is sheltered, so we got doses of cold only on the exposed ridge. The path to the chapel and then to Planica first follows the road, then turns left (marked), descends through the forest into the gully, ascends again and reaches the pasture areas of the saddle between Planica and Pleče via a well-consolidated mule track. We descended to the chapel along the left path, then continued up the right one towards Planica. At first the path across the pasture is well traceable, then it starts getting lost among grasses and bushes. We reached the summit via steep and overgrown slope, then descended, ascended again to the saddle, from where the view opened towards Bovec area and Drežnica and we crossed under Kožljak towards pl. Zaslap. Followed by descent to pl. Slapnik and Kuhinja. Nice circular tour, suitable for everyone.

I just wonder how the chapel has deteriorated since its renovation. And it is not even at high altitude. No wonder the builders who before and during the 1st World War built such objects in impossible conditions that still resist time today.

The chapel, at least when renovated, is not in the best shape. Inside there are things that don't belong there at all. The surroundings are neglected too... I picked up a bunch of trash probably left by visitors. I walked almost half the Peace Trail, but nowhere did I run into something like that. Sad.

Yesterday I climbed from Koseč to Planica below Krn. The path was muddy and slippery, but it was worth it... nasmeh

I can't believe how the Besova chapel has deteriorated since its renovation. It was completely white. These are those "modern" materials. Of course you can't tell our "experts" anything. Materials installed a hundred years ago have lasted until today. Shame, because such objects get attention only at the opening.

On Wednesday we were there. We imagined a full-day tour. In the morning we started from Drežnica past the Sopot and Krampež waterfalls. We admired those wonderful waterfalls. We continued on the usual path to the saddle or junction for Krn. We decided to go pathless over Kožljak 1587m. Probably few know that where you go to Kožljak there once was an Italian military cemetery. The descent from Kožljak on steep grasses was demanding. From there pathless to the military chapel BES. We descended on another path below the chapel to Koseč. And we also admired the waterfalls and Koseč gorges. Beautiful tour on a nice day.
