Times are such that we're scouting for paths that until recently didn't interest us, paths that lead to small hills and knobs, past which we've always gazed at higher peaks in the background. Suddenly they're right in front of us, they're in our municipality, they're visible, we just need to learn their names or recall them. Good thing maps already know them , we don't have to ask around by name since usually others don't know them either.
Today we headed to one such peak nearby, after I spotted a path last week on the descent from St. Andrew that wound upwards behind the cross. Where does this path lead, was the question that needed to be resolved at home. Yes, to the top of Planina, which at 652 m even surpasses the height of St. Andrew. First time hearing the name.
On the way back we took our own variant too, because we were also looking for a path to the top of Dešna nearby. Didn't find a suitable path, but we circled our tour past the village of Bodovlje that way. Well, and we picked some dandelions along the way.
