Planina Košutna

Today we took advantage of the nice sunny day to visit Planina Košutna via an unmarked trail. From the junction where the path leaves the marked trail, we cross some steep slopes (danger of slipping when wet, poor traceability in the upper part of the path). Towards the pasture on the path among the junipers there's still some snow, otherwise the path is completely dry. Nice greetings

Skala123, is the starting point from the marked path from Markova raven to planina Koren. Approximately in the middle of that path before the watering place and hunter's hut you turn right onto unmarked path past Dedec to planina Košutna. Or am I wrong?

Yesterday I went to Košutna from Markova raven.
For starters, the left road is in better condition than the right one, although it goes over a fallen tree, which doesn't pose an obstacle for a lower car.
Anyway, the weather was fantastic, warm and lots of hikers in the mountains. To avoid crowds I turned right in the scree a bit before the water troughs onto unmarked path past Dedec.
The path is picturesque, offers nice views and of course you meet no living soul.

Grega z brega thanks. I walked that unmarked path. First time I was a bit in doubt because it's poorly traceable in places. So precisely I wouldn't know how to describe it.

I did it about 15 years ago, up to where it branches off towards pl. Koren; there another jump awaits you and, as I saw from the top, a barrier of chopped dwarf pines. From there onwards I went for the first time.
It's much nicer than the marked one.
