Planina Ravne, planina Polšak

In the KSA there are quite a few areas with pastures. One of the areas is the Dleskovška plateau. Here we find pastures -Korošica, Molička planina, planina Podvežak, planina Ravne, planina Polšak, planina Dolga trata and abandoned pastures Petkove njive and Stare stale. This time we drove to the parking lot of Planina Ravne. There is a hut that is open during the grazing season. On the pasture, a few years ago they carried out a major clearing of the pasture and thus increased the grazing areas. The pasture is actually a grazing one. In summer there is cattle grazing here. We went along the right side of the pasture and came to a viewpoint where there is a cross. Then we continued on the right path that leads to Planina Polšak. In a good hour we were at the pasture. The path ran through larch forest. Here we have the largest stand of larch forest in Europe. In between we even met a small flock of sheep with small lambs. Planina Polšak was once a sheep pasture. It is said that in 1952 they grazed as many as three hundred sheep here. On the pasture there is a fairly new shepherd's hut - the old one burned down a few years ago. This year it seems there was no cattle here. Nearby we have the beautiful peak Križevnik. We can go up in one hour.

Branko, we are a bit picky. But Garmont is right. Also on picture 14 it is more familiar and correct - planina Polšak. I'm not just criticizing; very nice trip and wonderful photos. Best regards

Today to Planina Polšak. I wanted to go to Križevnik actually, but the walking was too strenuous for a pedestrian.zavijanje z očmi
Up to the junction of the path to Polšak pasture there were still tracks, further on no more. Snow holds weight in places, mostly not. zadrega
The road is passable to the bench at the bend, about another km from the turn-off to Podvežak. Here you can park nicely.
The day was quite cold and windy, but still nice. nasmeh

The larches have quickly taken on their autumn garb - it's beautiful there now, especially when the sun shines on them.
