Planina Razor - descent to Kneške Ravne

Something drew me to the peace and beauty of the fairy-tale Tolmin-Bohinj mountains.
Closest route from Lj to Kneže is via Petrov brdo 80km, where I turn to the starting point in Ljubinj.From there the path starts climbing via Pl Lom, Kala to Pl.Razor.Road is mostly asphalt, above Lom some steep concrete climbs in between.Morning was nicely cool and in under two hours I arrive at Pl.Razor, where nice panorama of Tolmin-Bohinj mountain ring opens up.I refresh a bit, chat with firefighter who recently with Igor rescued unfortunate mountain rescuer from under fallen tree at logging above Bovec and greeted German shepherd too.He heads with dog to Globoko, me to the supposedly beautiful Kneške ravne.Descent nice on narrow paths, but quite careful due to leaves and thick branches below.In between had to dismount a bit crossing gullies, middle part 200m on foot and bottom bypass on grass instead of heavily branched loaded track to Kneških Raven.Followed quite nice and long descent down Kneže valley, 12km long.If hadn't crossed here on descent, would rarely reach that remote valley with Kneške Ravne below Šija and see it.Already in swelter had to climb another under 300m via Podmelca to car bit above Ljubinj.Tour is varied and beautiful, not too demanding as initially expected from Strme kolesnice descriptions, above all full of peace and beautiful mountain landscape where you can really let all senses out to "graze".Excellent mountain cheese at Pl.Kuk is still available for less than a month at 10€/kg.
