This morning I drive to Zadnjica and continue towards Kriški podi. Weather sunny, warm, here and there a cloud nasmeh

...when I reach the hut, "my" peak of the day was already embraced by mists, but I continue thinking it'll get better...yeah right zavijanje z očmi

. Today more feeling my way than seeing to the top of Planja...path entirely dry, just here and there a remnant of new snow that doesn't hinder. At the hut well-deserved lunch and descent the same path back to start. The lower I was, the hotter it got, the higher you go, the more wintery the conditions still are... mežikanje

I used the day to visit Planja, which did not disappoint. Start from Zadnjica, past Lower Kriško Lake and then to Pogačnikov dom. To the hut the path is not difficult and snow-free, a bit more demanding then on ascent over scree to Planja Saddle, because quite a few frozen snow patches, over which I went quite carefully or around them if possible. At the saddle due to even more frozen snow patches on path to Razor I chose the path to Planja, to whose summit one reaches without issues. In short nice day in mountains, on described tour the scree ascent to saddle a bit harder.

On Sunday we drive to Zadnjica from where we head to Kriški podi. At lower Kriško lake short break then I alone head to Planja summit. From top look to west Planja peak where it stayed cuz somehow couldn't find passage down to saddle between peaks. Didn't try too hard tho. From top down to hut then with better half to Kriški rob. Unmarked part steep and rubble-filled but views from top pay off.

Looks like not many visits to Planja tho just 20 min ascent from saddle separating Planja and Razor. Bet everyone bit tired and Planja not main goal. Deserves more visits. Already before saddle left sign on rock directs to Planja. From below looks unconquerable rock fortress. But not quite. Cleverly routed path over rocks. Gotta climb few times but nothing serious. Some pegs in between. Suddenly that famous rock sculpture Tired Tower ahead. Summit roomy. Just sit and enjoy Triglav beauties.

Of course we arrive at Planja from Pogačnikov dom on Kriških podih.

Before the saddle that separates Planja and Razor.

The path to Planja takes only twenty minutes. If we sit up there it doesn't take even an hour.

The start of the ascent through the rocky area will begin.

The actual summit of the mountain is on the right side of the quite extensive mountain top.

Victory, we were all on Planja for the first time.

Back down the ledge then to the famous rock sculpture on Planja, the Tired Tower.

Yesterday from Vršič to Planja. Path tidied, some peg on way to saddle pulled out but not key. From saddle to Planja one detail need attention esp. descent. Path to Kriški podi poorly marked.

From Vršič, along the south path under Prisojnik to the Mlinarica junction, protections and markings have been renewed. From Mlinarica to Razor/Planja, protections renewed, markings already quite faded.
