Planning end of January if nice weather for two days to Blejska koča
how far can you get by car? to Rudno polje?
Wondering if Blejska koča is open in winter non-stop or only weekends?
And wondering what is winter ascent to Viševnik and Debelo Peč from Blejska koča?
Thanks

Basically, except in heavy snowfall that day no, otherwise you can always reach Rudno polje with winter tires or chains.
Blejska koča, like Komna is open all year round. Sometimes Jože goes down to the valley on Monday morning for essentials, but soon returns. You can also overnight at Blejska koča.
Ascents to Pokljuka ridges are fairly safe with proper gear regarding avalanches, but with large snow amounts not entirely (Viševnik, M. Draški vrh, Lipanska vrata passage, top ridge of Debele peči)-avalanches!. Slip due to ice possible on top of Debele peči, Viševnik, Brda... All paths to nearby mountains are soon tracked if conditions allow.

Called to Blejska koča
Jože is very friendly
overnight price at the hut is 10 euros for PZ members, only common dormitory in the hut.

Wondering if there will be a lot of snow
and if Debele Peč and Viševnik will be too demanding due to avalanches,
which peaks would you recommend nearby?

Expect heavy snowfall for the weekend, so don't go without chains, shovel, for walking obligatory snowshoes or skis. Given amount of new fallen snow (30-50cm in mountains), avalanche danger not excluded, even on ridge, a bit below hut need to watch sometimes. For top, snow conditions Jože will say how and what and which direction or peak to go. Usually can reach Okroglež 1965m on main ridge without big risks. Elsewhere under question.

From the hut at Lipanci one can approach over Mrežce towards the western ridge to Debel vrh; even more tempting and panoramic is Veliki Selišnik. Both peaks in untrampled, deep snow require the hiker's fitness and full high-mountain equipment in winter; multiply the walking times by two to three times!.

I think a couple of links won't hurt:

there is also a webpage that calculates the snow avalanche danger index...
http://www.avarisk.com/download_en.html

however, despite all forecasts and data, it is necessary to make a snow cover profile, even several times on the trip.
good luck...

All links listed by geolog79 are useful. For avalanche conditions themselves, besides ARSO avalanche forecast, useful for our hills and wider area:
- for Julijce: even in Slovenian!

-another Austrian, for Karavanke: in German, for others google translate:

Avarisk is an app for mobile phone, you download it, open it, install it and it calculates the danger index...
