In the morning I quickly decide to take advantage of this nice weather and go for some interesting bike tour. I'm thinking about the Bohinj end or the upper Sava valley, but I decide for Bohinj and Pokljuka. I ride over Soriska planina to Boh. Bistrica, where I park near the camp. From there by bike to Brod village, where I turn onto an exceptionally nice bike trail that brings me to Studor. Here I start the ascent to Uskovnica, where I rest a bit at the hut and then continue ascent towards Rudno polje. After a slightly more demanding part of the ascent I head to the road that takes me past picturesque pastures Praprotnica, Zajamniki, Pec, Konjska dolina and Jelje to Sp. Goreljek. From there descent to Jereka and further down the valley to Srednja Vas, where I join back the bike trail and ride it back to the start in Bohinjska Bistrica. Super tour through Pokljuka forests and pastures with views on nearby peaks. Road and ascents not too tough, only section from pl. Lom to Uskovnica a bit worse but still rideable. As for weather it was quite warm, so I was glad that quite a nice part of the path you ride in shade. In the end 53 km ridden and 1032 m elevation gain.

The tour is described (unfortunately without GPS) in the Mountain Bike Guide Gorenjska by authors Maks Vrečko and Igor Maher. But I combined two tours into one. I (still) don't use navigation, so I don't even look for such data . LP

All intersections on this tour are really well marked, so you can't miss

Where else in the heat, but with MTB into the shady coolness of Pokljuka forests. I head up right at the castle, since they renovate short road section. Higher I go, cooler with mountain breeze. At Mrzli studenec a column of foreign motorbikers pours by, but look at Rudno polje they hadn't even quenched thirst well when I saw them again . After short stop I pedal again past Viševnik lift, there I refill "fuel" and join upper road at Kamnita jama, there a bit on foot. Continued long fairy tale of green slopes of high road with views, such beautiful spruces only here . In between second time visit extremely unpopulated and very overgrown Pl Velika raven, completely hidden in Pokljuka forests. There old hut stands, bit further lookout on rock, extraordinarily beautiful elliptical spruce forest surrounding pasture, vibrations extraordinarily pure. Doesn't write for nothing on hut that who knows nature, is rich. Next path leads me to Pl. Klek, where I visit owner at pasture. Yesterday after clearing they had white salt in container, 10m higher fog. When it pours they have lake which due to karst soil quickly disappears. Awaited me still one of nicest at us 900 m long descent through Stresena dolina on macadam to Radovna, where I arrived after 20 min fast ride . After such tour with 1000 m and 65 km ridden, it was proper to refresh little in Kreda lake, which for my taste already bit too warm . Tour extremely beautiful and warmly recommend to MTB riders

Otherwise you can smoothly pass the road section and join higher with the car, of course

This weekend to Konjščica pasture. Road from Uskovnica to Konjščica pasture newly gravelled, praise to agricultural community for invested effort. Expectations that I manage to ride full ascent fulfilled, and nothing critically bad. Descent back to chapel at Uskovnica then over Praprotnica and Zajamnike, past Peč, Konjska dolina, Jelje to Sp.Goreljek, descent to Koprivnik and further through Podjelje to Jereka. Does maybe someone know some descent that wouldn't go on asphalt?
