Poljanska Baba - Planina Obranca...

It's also nice at home...Just drive to Poljane, and go. Right at the top of the slope, to the right, at the sign, turn into the forest. Soon
you come to the signs for Baba. Climb up to it, look around a bit and continue towards
Obranca. On the pasture there's a monument to fallen partisans. Pause for a moment, then climb to the edge of the pasture. And you have below you
Bled, Gorje, Krnica, everything is visible if the weather is nice. And it's nice even so..
But you have to climb a bit on the path because of fallen trees and watch for wet trail under leaves. /Heinz described the whole path and access well/

...Planina Obranca...
Peace, silence, how good it feels after this New Year's "bombardment". Steep part of the path frozen, but nice. Patches of snow after the top, pasture all white. Just right for dog's joy. Views poor, but never mind. Nice to be outside, bye Majda...

Mežakla ....
From Jesenice to transmitter and on to natural bridge. We continued the path over Planski vrh to Planina Obranca and finished in Sp. Gorje.
Path already icy at start. Higher we go, more snow. From Planina Obranca to Sp. Gorje, path dry but frozen. Path to transmitter described on Hribi.net -(heinz), further to pasture new, very frequently marked. So path much easier, even for those who don't know these places, bye Majda...

Yes - Majda, over Planski vrh past nat. bridge and Snežna jama to Obranca will need description.
You say now newly marked? Not long ago you were a bit "searching" there before Snežna jama where you reach forest road (and further).
Into cave, did you descend?
Otherwise, - nice pics! (I was afternoon over Jk, over Dole to Pristava,- back. Reksij and I even had some sun..)

No, didn't descend to cave. Didn't have lights, next time. About path itself, I wasn't too sure before. But now different. Waiting for you to describe this part of path. And nice greeting Majda nasmeh

This time went for walk to Mežakla. From Kočna up steep path to pl. Obranca. Then found Snežna jama. Cave definitely worth visit. Orientation really very demanding and without GPS wouldn't manage. At end visited all three sites where pieces of Mežakla meteorite were found.

.... Obranca past Babe.. Ramble near home. Up at the start Poljan-Kočne. The path is nice, dry. Ground just right frozen for a safe step. Views on Julijce wonderful, on Bled with surroundings a bit less. At the top a bench for enjoying and gathering energy. Back the other side at end Kočne. There a cart track, partly dug up and muddy. Peace and quiet guaranteed. nasmeh

- There in autumn I pick rose hips for tea.

.. For every disease a little rose grows... and on Obranca pretty roses bloom and smell intoxicatingly. Just watch the hairy puffs, cows and ponies are quick nearby. nasmeh

The path to Obranca always carries me away, such a beautiful pasture. Just right for short ramble and enjoying meadow flowers. And you can continue to Planskemu vrhu and Snežna jama. nasmeh
