Poll: Lowest point of TNP

When I look at the answers to this poll question, I'm a bit worried about the knowledge of our environment and TNP borders. 45% think the lowest point of TNP is at the confluence of Soča and Vipava - that's in Italy. Despite wishes of some, our TNP probably won't ever reach that far south... According to my knowledge, the lowest point is in Tolmin Gorges... I might be wrong... But I would never place it at the confluence of Soča and Vipava... and where do you think it is?

Yeah, I know, but it surprises me that of 797 answers 45% put it at Soča-Vipava confluence..in Italy

Yes, really in Tolmin Gorges. I almost opened a topic on this question. One would think portal visitors know TNP or geography better. But lately percentages are improving a bit. People are always learning and some now learn a new interesting fact .

I think there in Vipava it already enters wine territory of TNP.

I hope someone will think about it...

The confluence of Soča and Tolminka is not in TNP

Actually, of the listed confluences only the correct answer is in TNP

Polls about knowledge of our mountains and everything related are interesting. But it seems most answer more by guessing than taking it seriously. Yes, kaveljc, I agree with you that it's worth thinking about these results . But it's worth the effort to find the correct answer, as we expand knowledge that way. I admit I helped myself with "uncle" Google , who knows a lot. Then checked on the TNP map, which confirmed the answer.

It doesn't surprise me at all. I have more than one friend whose goal is to reach the top, then straight down. I don't understand what they get out of it, except bragging where they've been. And they don't even understand why there are such incompetent artists who draw some scribbles without any artistic value and call them maps.

Meh, you can easily find the answer on this portal alone. Go to "List of Mountains --> Julian Alps" and that's it. Most answers to poll questions are hidden right here on this page. You just need a few seconds. But it's true, if you're not interested, it's pointless to look for correct answers, since you forget them in seconds anyway. So, those polls should be for those interested (we can dream ).

Our polls are always interesting, but if you can look at the map it loses its charm, and the same with today's poll or questionnaire, the last one was much more interesting and I definitely want more like that.
