Pradel Plateau 1540m - Dolomiti di Brenta

Hiking in the heart of Dolomiti di Brenta was followed by continuing the vacation in the tourist place Molveno which is really a gem as the Italians advertise it. It is considered one of the most beautiful Alpine lakes and according to Italian tourist organizations their most beautiful lake. On the northern side above the lake and the same-named place rises the Pradel plateau at height 1540m, to which a cable car and chairlift also lead. The plateau can also be reached by path from the nearby winter tourist place Andalo above which is the Paganella ski resort. The chairlift takes us to the final station, hut La Montanara 1525m from where there is really a wonderful view especially on the peaks of the Dolomites. From the panoramic platform we have from right to left all the peaks on our palm under which the entire ferrata Bocchette runs, both Alta and Centrali. Below us is the valley Val delle Seghe above which on the right side rises the mighty Cima Croz dell'Altissimo 2339m. Its western vertical wall drops into the valley 900m. There is also a marked path to its summit, from hut La Montanara to the top marked 2:30h. We two first descended by path no.340b and later 340 in 1h to hut Croz dell'Altissimo 1430m, which lies at the foot of the same-named peak. The hut is very visited since it can be reached by our path; from the final station of the cable car by path no.340 or by path through the valley delle Seghe. From the hut onwards the path leads first to hut Selvata 1657m and further to hut Pedroti e Tosa 2491m which is located in the heart of the Dolomites. From the hut we returned to Molveno by road in 1h.
