A pleasant family trip can be made in Preddvor. We can walk around Preddvor itself. There is the first castle - Wurzbach manor. Sadly it is abandoned - but it will be renovated. Preddvor municipality has big plans for it. They even opened it for us. Otherwise it is not for viewing. For the parish church one can also arrange a viewing - only for groups. Next to the church is a nice chapel - painted by painter Mayer from Kranj. Nearby they even have storks' nest. Then we can head along the path from Preddvor center to Lake Črnjava. By the road a beautiful cedar - Lebanese cedar - greets us. Lebanon even has it on the flag. Along the path we see a couple more of these for us more exotic tree species. A pleasant walk around Lake Črnjava follows. Here is a pleasant hotel Ajda and Hrib castle. The castle is not for viewing. In it they held weddings and other events. Next to the castle is the famous wedding avenue and continuing a short forest path - in between there are also sequoias. We can continue to the third castle - Turn in Potoče, where now is a home for the elderly. Upon prior notice for groups we can view the chapel with the tombstone of the poetess and writer Josepine Turnograjske. In the castle there is also a memorial room of the writer. Above the castle is the gazebo of the writer. A short secured path leads up. To the fourth castle - Pusti grad - from Turn castle we would need half an hour. It is on a completely overgrown hill right of Turn castle. Now there are only ruins. Already in the 16th century it was burned and never rebuilt. It is not known whether it was burned by the Turks, who passed by Preddvor seven times, or Jan Vitovec - in the fight for the inheritance of the Celje counts.
