Predmeja - Mali Golak - Čaven

On Saturday we did a circular route from Predmeja over Little Golak and further to Anton Bavčar hut on Čaven. It was quite cold, on the Golaks +1 degree but foggy and it was quite windy. Of course we warmed up properly with schnapps . The path section from the hut below Golak to Čaven is very nice.

Hello! How much time did you spend with the group on this circular tour? And along with the time, write what pace you had. Thanks for the answer and all the best!

Thanks a lot for the answer. That was really some speed. This will go into the plan for early spring, when there will already be some flowers... the paths at least in the hills will be lined with flowers. Greetings and all the best!

With yesterday's weather on the edge (of rain) and wind, pleasant circular path Predmeja (main intersection) - sports park Tiha dolina - Mali Golak - Iztok's hut below Golaki - Anton Bavčar hut on Čaven - Predmeja. The path is excellently marked in some places, sufficiently good elsewhere, if you combine some descriptions from hribi.net. Pleasantly spent 5h, with breaks. Otherwise marked as: - Predmeja - sports park 20 min - sports park - Mali Golak 2h - Mali Golak - hut below Golaki 30 min - Hut below Golaki - hut on Čaven 2h30 - Hut on Čaven - Predmeja 50 min Recommend as spring preparation for high mountains (fitness) as it accumulates enviable 1050 v.m. and over 20 (walked) km.

Hi! Is there perhaps a more precise description of the above circular tour somewhere that I can't find? Or if someone can write it please. It looks like a very interesting thing and would be just right for this weekend - searching for sunshine somewhere on the coast

The Primorska end was again a fine choice today. We did the circular tour that's in the title, and in between detoured to Veliki and Mali Modrasovec (just out of curiosity, since we hadn't been up there, otherwise they are summits without views, as they are forested to the top). About conditions: weather for walking super, a bit of sun, a bit cloudy, a bit windy…views from Mali Golak not the best today, path well marked, practically completely dry, no mud, almost no flowers along the path, some fallen trees that are no problem, Trnovski gozd still beautiful as always…

We walked the path today in the opposite direction. We started before Predmeja and via the Srednječavenska path reached the hut on Čavn. We continued over Veliki Modrasovec, from there to the Hut below Golaki and on to Mali Golak. We descended to Predmeja past the E. Čibej hut in Tiha dolina and a few more kilometers on the road to the car. We took less than 5 hours. Dry to Čavn, further on still quite some snow - today it was softened, crampons not needed.

Interesting path, Darinka. You nicely introduce us to this part of Slovenia. But were there no primroses on the path?
