Twin-headed Robičje (1930m and 1942m), rising above Vršič, is very rarely visited, as evidenced by the summit log on the western peak. The approach to it leads from Vratica pass, but the ridge to the higher eastern peak was too demanding in these winter conditions.

Robičje is well visited in good winter conditions due to couloirs in the eastern slopes, as the slope hides a meniscus and hidden couloir, and many nice routes... The slope in these two couloirs is 45°-max. 55°. The normal approach is pure ridge poetry. It is rarely used for descent, as we descend the descent couloir which is just about 100m from the meniscus exit to the ridge. But it is recommended to approach Robičje when there is lots of snow, as the summit is all dwarf pines...

Yesterday around 3:00 a.m. I started from Vršič towards Prednje Robičje, at the saddle where the sign for MM, Sleme is I turned right to an unmarked path. The path goes between, under, over bushes, quite annoying to walk, especially in the morning when still wet, getting stuck in bushes, but I reached the summit. Of course it was dark, only heard some wind, birds singing. Stayed on top about 3/4 hour waiting for dawn, no sunrise, just occasionally blue sky. Then I decided on descent and on via Hanzova to MM and Goličica, about that wrote in other topics.

Since in summer I haven't been to Prednje Robičje yet, and on marked paths I like to detour to some pathless terrain, today on the way to Slemenova Špica there was an opportunity to visit this extremely panoramic and according to the logbook rarely visited summit. The summit is adorned by a nice wooden cross.

Wonderful mountain, one for the soul. Suitable if you happen to have too little time for something longer. On summit cross in memory of giant of Slovenian and world alpinism, Stane Belak - Šrauf. Deep respect.
Recommend, not marked but path well visible.

The cross on top is not in memory of Šrauf. As far as I remember it's in memory of Janez Kunstelj (long-time chief of GRS Kranjska Gora). But maybe I'm wrong - correct me if I'm not right. I think it's all in the Fux logbook. lp

Nothing to add. If we ignore the bushes, the path is actually pleasant, the summit really a proper little viewpoint...

... Prednje Robičje - Mountain peaks were veiled by mists accompanied by wind. Path from Vratca saddle to Robičje summit is pleasant, but not really for small dogs. In fine weather views must be wonderful. Trees already getting autumn colors and soon larches will turn golden too. Inviting and beautiful.

... Zlatica, it was discovered before. But now good chance when larches golden to combine both paths to Sl. Špica and Robičje.

Approach to Prednje Robičje without issues, trail well trodden. Continuing to Zadnje Robičje involves some bushwhacking and scrambling at least two spots. View from entire ridge flawless.
