Can we then conclude there was some "silent interest" from the state for Morbegna to be demolished?

/ General discussions / destruction of bivouacs, cultural heritage...

And we're back there again... Better check what you wrote in January. And check the picture of Viharnik from Stanič hut. That would have happened to this bunker and ruins too. Lojz will be very happy to hear that you're advertising him again. Even if such a "mover", if he didn't care for the bunker, it would become a high-alpine "scrap heap" too. He welcomes everyone friendly, even overnight, denies no one hospitality. Now to the attacknasmeh

Very instructive is Mr. Žorž's article in Planinski vestnik, nicely showing where Caserma V. E. and Capanna Morbegno stood.
So no sense accusing Mr. Žakelj of razing Morbegno, because it wasn't there at all when he started fixing up bivouac nearby!mežikanje

I didn't think I'd trigger so much polemic about Morbegna, Žakelj etc. The fact is, after the war we had on the Western Triglav plateau an empty but fully equipped barracks, cable cars to it and to Dolič. My fellow citizen Alojzij Žakelj is in no case guilty for all that decaying – if the state had acted differently there, believe me, Žakelj wouldn't be there. Also in the PV article nobody points to Alojz Žakelj, but to the state (past and present).

This object "wasn't allowed" to become a mountain hut, because it would take altitude primacy from Triglav House at Kredarica. Deliberately left to the tooth of time.

If there was anything useful from Morbegna, the state would've stolen it all already. Just like it does across SLO territory day by day... poke at problems on your doorstep, not somewhere in the high mountains away from us.
It's a shame for the decayed object... with honest people at the head, it could be the highest-situated museum in SLO today. Well, we're in SLO... fuck it...

Dear, to avoid confusion: I didn't talk about
cultural heritage, as "Žiga22" states, but I just pointed out articles in PV by authors Grega Žorža and Dušan Škodič. The essence was also stated by "dprapr". Once again: it's not about Morbegno, but the former Italian barracks (Caserma V. E.III.).

Otherwise in the opposite direction, but it's fine anyway.

From Zadnjica first along the supply path, then up the old logging path to Plemenice. Path well traceable, though at least in two places clogged by scree and debris. Below Plemenice some snow, but no issues. Since Triglav wasn't planned, we went to Glava in Zaplanja then down to Dolič, and directly below Dolič to Kanjavčeve police. Path without issues, at two spots the anchor bolts of the cable are pulled out. Hut at Dolič closes on Tuesdays, Zasavska was closed on Sunday.
