Quality of Alpina boots

Hi
After just a few trips both soles peeled off like this. In high mountains this could be deadly dangerous, so Alpina never again.
They arrogantly reject the complaint, as I unfortunately no longer have the receipt.

1dusan I sign under the brand's quality. Sometimes very satisfied, now equally disappointed. Unfortunately. These are their references and it's right that it's known.

1dusan: How old were they?

Don't know exactly, but a couple of years for sure. That's not a problem with other brands and I don't know why age, if not worn out, would be an issue.
If they think so, then they should write that the boot is dangerous to wear after x years.

I don't know... I've always been taught that a "new" boot that's been in the closet for a couple of years isn't exactly a good choice for long/demanding hikes...
It happened to a colleague... boot worn 2x, then about 3 years in the closet... and in the middle of the hike we then patched the sole up with laces and bandages. And no, it wasn't Alpina, but a more expensive imported brand...

Tibet V is still a top mountaineering boot. The first Tibet V were a bit worse, but they fixed that too. Don't dry them on the stove and grease between rubber and leather.

1dusan: If boots with PU foam soles (which most mountaineering boots have) are not used for several years, moisture from the air accumulates in the PU foam, making it brittle over time and then disintegrating under load.

When boots are in the closet for a few years and then put on, expect what happened. Happened to my husband 2X, once in high mountains on the Czech hut - Mlinarsko saddle - Grintavec path, then he removed the sole on the other boot the same way. Safely arrived at Suhadolnik.
Second case with quite quality winter boots that were lightly used for 3 years. Did a winter tour, sole bloomed on the second day.
So you can't claim warranty.

I used Garmont for a long time. Lately I wear them only in winter when there's snow, since in dry weather I only use low La Sportiva shoes. Never experienced anything like this. I use these Garmont boots exclusively in snow and for a very long time.

I also have no problem with Lowa. They are winter ones and quite a long time in the closet, but they don't disintegrate like Alpinas.
So the explanation about disintegrating in the closet serves
perhaps more as an excuse for quality.

Yeah then it's really strange that Lowa themselves say that the sole can disintegrate after long disuse (see link in previous comment).

La sportiva - winter boot, price around 340 euros, I think that's no excuse for poor quality.mežikanje, but storage in the closet.

asdf- I read what's written in the link.
jprm-what is storage in the closet? Half a year, a year...
Does FIFO work in Alpina stores? From China, Bosnia?
