Today first time on Resevna. Parked behind the sign at end of Šentjur, by Kozarnica river. Morning quite cold, path frozen, some dry sections in between, last part before hut fully frozen. Sun came out too, no distant views as expected.
Hut has new fresh look, renovated inside too. Hostess very friendly, curd-apple strudel excellent and very cheap.
Several of us warmed up in the hut. nasmeh

Huts on Menina and Resevna built to same plans, hostess said.

Bare ground, packed snow and ice alternate

The path turns around a snow-covered sinkhole

The macadam path to the hut is completely icy, ash scattered in the upper part greatly facilitates walking

Just before returning to the starting point, real spring in the forest, full of snowdrops and crocuses

Rifnik and Resevna we visited some time ago and forgot the route quite a bit. So we set off again to those areas, for new challenge in reverse direction velik nasmeh

. From what we saw, this variant suits us even better than original. More in photostory …

Also thanks to hostess of Hut under Resevna Mrs. Iveta, who sent me the forgotten piece of clothing by mail even for free. Nice gesture, because of which we'll gladly stop again in the already friendly hut nasmeh

We are parking in the space right next to the railway.

We quickly cross the tracks and observe the somewhat suspicious weather.

The calm and sleepy Voglajna has long returned to its bed.

The bridge over the river is already rather shabby and calls for renewal.

On the opposite side the first signposts await us. We continue left along the main road.

The weather is not exactly Olympic, but at least it is not raining.

We walk past smaller hamlets, no traffic at all.

We can choose between Resevna left or Resevna over the tree :)

As old habit dictates, we go a bit further around, this time in the direction of Hruševec

The weather is slowly improving, even some blue sky is breaking through the greyness

It climbs towards Rifnik. Below us are the ruins of Rifnik Castle from the 13th century

There are plenty of signposts everywhere, we take the forest variant

View of Šentjur. It's quite blustery, obviously someone forgot to close the window :)

On the summit are remains of two churches, even older ones are safely under cover

Here we leave the asphalt and descend into the valley along the cart track

Along a less visible trail we reach the first houses

Direction Šibenik, not the one by the sea :)

The road starts to climb right away. We'll have to regain the lost altitude again

We have no problems, cars need to be more careful

We had already noticed this little canary on the descent from Rifnik

Last farmstead before the climb into the forest

Only a nicely renovated weekend cottage is nearby

Then the ascent to the top. We take the direct route along the ridge :)

The mountain hut has gotten a completely new appearance since our last visit

Also inside it is renovated, staff friendly, service quick

Descending along the ridge, the goal is Javornik village

Back on the road again. This one still smells a bit of bitumen :)

He's not easily disturbed, the warm sun suits him perfectly :)

The wood is probably for next season, the frost has already been forgotten

The 14th Division also went here. They had the path well marked :)

It's already better, the path is also nearing the end

He, he… she would have arrived much earlier, but we have to wait for the train :)

We're still alone. This certainly isn't the most popular starting point to the nearby hills

Hats off, that's a very long tour. You went past us too, if I'd seen you, I'd surely addressed you and invited for coffee. You're great, pleasure to read your descriptions.
