Morning in Logarska with sunlit peaks promised a wonderful day. I left the car in Logarski kot.
I put on my shoes and realized I had no socks. So I slipped on the fivefingers and took another pair along. Grass and soil were still wet from yesterday's rain. My feet felt a bit cold at the start.
The roaring of the Zabrložnica waterfalls lured me into its canyon. Beautiful and hard-to-reach waterfalls. At the lower one I decided for the ascent on the left past the salt lick, as it is more scenic. So steep that no need to stoop for holds.
At the windows I continued on the nicely built hunting path to Zabrložnica. The feeling that exploring the waterfalls had taken a lot of strength deterred me from the ascent to Savinjec and I went straight to Matkovo okno. There I climbed just enough to see the ridge.
Suddenly I was overwhelmed by excitement, anxiety and uncertainty about how it would go on the ridge. I changed the damp fivefingers for dry ones and continued. Soon the feelings became right again. It went great. I surprised myself by mastering a climbing problem so well. I did the ascent to the third tower directly onto it. Easier for me than on macesen or through the window. Holding the ridge cost me some scratches on the legs from scree. To avoid snow in Latvica I went to the marked path on the ridge above it. Quite some bushwhacking.
The marked path to Mrzla gora on this ridge is a real stroll. The aids are all OK, just lots of scree on the path after last winter.
I descended via Okrešelj, which offers lots of beauty too. In one gully a young chamois found a rest spot, on the Mrzla wall three climbers were enjoying a hard route, in Turski žleb someone was checking the conditions, high up a paraglider was enjoying.
Under the waterfall I cooled my feet for a long time in the clear Savinja and at the end walked the Logarska path to the car.
Nice things happened to me up there and I hope sometime again.

There is indeed a difference if you start in Logarska valley, at the hunting hut in Matkov valley, or at the start of the valley. Approx 3 hours and the second part is harder due to fatigue.
About brutality I can only talk when mushroom picking. nasmeh
