I drive into Jezersko valley and at the monument approx. 3km before Neveje saddle turn right onto gravel road. Drive another good km and park at ramp. At start of path 628 almost no snow, at Viška planina (1530m) just over 10cm. Continue on path 628 to junction where I reach path 625, then most dangerous section under Kapna wall. Snow here approx. 40cm, in places blown to grass. Snow not hard, sinks a lot. Soon reach hut, short break and return same way. Weather great and warm today, some behind me in short sleeves.

Usual approach along road past Rabeljsko jezero, over Beli potok bridge, approx two and a half km then gravel road branches right to Cave del Mole slope. By main road notice memorial with crucifix. Drive gravel less than 1km to parking. Further closed to traffic. Marked CAI 628. Three km to Viška planina and lower cargo cable station to hut. Two options here. We took right variant CAI 628a, shorter and technically harder. Wire ropes help. To Rifugio Guido Corsi 1874m about two hours from start. Stands on panoramic grassy-rocky plateau under south face Koštrunove špice, Viš, Divje koze, Gamsova matere. View fantastic. Up not possible due to fresh snow. Down easier variant watching climbers. Right of Beljaška igla wide 40m wall with ~20 sport routes to 5c. On descent watch water showering from high rocks onto path. Beautiful.

The path is full of ruins of military positions from WWI. What excites us more is the shower from high rocks directly onto the path we are walking on.16

With colleague headed under Viš to Corsi hut. Ascent via path past Viška planina, descent partially demanding "Sentiero dei Tedeschi". Path dry no issues. Met only four hikers so enjoyed majestic views in peace. Hot though...zadregazadrega

At entrance to Beli potok valley signs say Corsi hut closed. On Italian sites saw article that due to poor condition (structurally and functionally worn), closed whole season.

I asked the warden who worked there.
Ciao mi dispiace ma il rifugio è chiuso per almeno 3-4 anni.
Trovi il ricovero invernale 6 posti. Quest'estate aprirà la malga del grant'agar, 350 metri sotto al rifugio.

Apart from our group and horned aborigines, no one anywhere1
have again fully occupied the nearby meadows2
a bit higher3
in the gully towards Koza the patches appear4

Yesterday conditions were good. Approach and descent via German soldiers path. Snow starts at Viski planina. Descent or approach via longer path not recommended due to large number of avalanches that rolled onto the path, especially around Beljaska igla (on Beljaski zvonik / Campanile di Villacco there is still a lot of heavy snow). Recommend crampons.
