Hello, I'm interested if anyone knows more, why the road from Bistrica (junction before the cable car station to Vel. planina) to Markova ravan is closed. I assume it's damaged in several places or heavily damaged from those storms. Best regards Peter

I was there on Thursday. The road is already washed out right after the junction or it's been carried away, there's a bridge later, but further on there are also individual collapsed bridges and huge deposits if you go along the slope of Mokrice. The road in the last part to Markova ravan is one big torrent. You can go on foot, but there's a lot of climbing and stepping over rocks. At the part where the bridge was washed away, the passage is the hardest because everything is collapsing. That's why it's closed and will probably remain so for a while. The road that goes under Kamniški vrh isn't much better either, in one part it's one big torrent. The road that goes through the valley, I don't know how it is because I didn't go. It looks washed out already from the start and end. Even the 'parking lot' at Markova ravan is in a pile of rocks and deposits.

How is the road through the Korošica valley to Markova ravan? Still in ruins from the flood a few years ago?
