Hi I'm wondering until when they collect the "toll" to Mangart Saddle. What's the general attendance up there in September. Holidays are completely over then, start of school etc. or are there still plenty of people in the hills despite school and end of holidays.

"Parking fees" they shouldn't collect at all, because inspection has chased them twice already. Although I wrote somewhere once, I still write again: voluntary contribution, if you give, you give; if not, then not. No legal obligation behind it. And again, from this collection not a cent goes to the road, not a cent to the hut, not a cent to trail maintenance. All is pocketed by the development coop Log pod Mangartom.

One thing also is to avoid tourists

Nice greeting. Tomorrow we plan to go to Mangart. Since there's a cycling ascent to Mangart Saddle tomorrow, I'm wondering if the road will still be drivable in the morning around 7. Thanks for the answer and safe steps to everyone in the mountains

since the start is only at 10, it'll probably still be open then, you'll probably have more problems with getting back to the valley...

Anyone planning tomorrow (18.8.2013) to conquer the summit from the saddle will find the road closed due to the cycling race. Foot paths, no - also on foot via shortcut is nice
