Yesterday's pictures from the path to Schoberriegel. Strong wind all the way, especially at the top. In the afternoon it started raining too.

On Saturday we visited Schoberriegel and Gruft. It was a wonderful late summer day, with the first autumn colors. The pleasant sunny warmth was interrupted by a cold wind.

...Schoberriegel and Gruft.. Wandering with hikers DU Jav. Kor Bela.. Wonderful landscape, "knedlčki" everywhere around. Red-colored hillsides from autumn bilberry leaves, only the damn cold wind and frost chased us from the ridge. Both peaks suitable for small and big, even those on four paws would enjoy if not blown away.nasmeh

Monday group, retirees section of PD Škofja Loka, went to Krške Alps to Schoberriegel summit - 2208m high peak. We drove to parking at 1800 m. So only 400 m elevation gain. One third of hikers took only path around lakes. We adapt to hikers' abilities. Luckily four leaders, so guiding fully covered. Path dry, views magnificent. Even some alpine flowers found.

The surrounding grassy peaks are inviting - one must return here. Possible also in winter for ski touring.20

Not much snow, the path is well trodden.
