Hi....
I'm wondering if anyone knows how it is with ski tourers on Sella Nevea (ski area), when the gondola is running. Given the new and large amounts of snow it would be nice, especially easier and safer, to go a bit on the ski slopes.

Actually, the ski resort at Sella Nevea is closed for this season, but it offers excellent ski touring. Today there were quite a few of us, some went to Uršič saddle, some to Prevala. Super descent on softened and even partly groomed (from Gilberti hut down) snow. From Sella Nevea to Prevala is 1100m, just right for a nice tour. At the bottom you need to walk some 10m.

Thanks a lot for the idea. I planned to go to Kotovo sedlo, but based on your pics decided for Kanin. Super weather and super skiing right to the valley.

Since we have a skier who would go skiing to Sella Nevea, I would use the day for some tour nearby. Anything suitable for a walker (crampons or snowshoes)?

Yes, it's nicely presented here. Planina Krni Dol is also added, but not obligatory. From the starting point in Žlebe we can go directly to Planina Zgornje Lariče and then to Planina Pecol. Below Planina Pecol is P and then back to the starting point by road.
