Sentiero di Matteo is a wonderful journey through the mountains and forests below Žrd. We originally walked the trail with the princess less than seven years ago, the shorter one I did alone on the last day of the year just past. "Mateo's trail" is a wonderful excursion into the back of Resia, the views of the valley and mountains above it are enchanting, making your eyes misty, rests on the pastures take you back to other times, if you know how to surrender to the moment and forget the everyday. Definitely go on the trail in good weather, so the experience is really as it should be.
