Šinkovcov grič 814m (Medvedje Brdo)

On this nice late-autumn day my daughter and I headed from Hotedrščica along the Žejna valley to Medvedje Brdo or more precisely Šinkovcov grič which rises to 814m.

Nicely marked path with markers, some mischievous or instructive signs, initially winds through the mentioned valley crisscrossed with dozens of streams, puddles, marshy areas. Here you find plenty of carnivorous plants. Well, on these cold days unfortunately there are no more.

The steep part starts at the end of the macadam road and turns into a forest, later meadow, path which leads to Medvedje Brdo past isolated farms.
A bit above the parish church is the summit. Nearby stands a cute summer theater whose "parterre" for spectators is the side of former JLA rocket launch site. View from here reaches the Julian Alps and KSA to the S and NE and Snežnik to the S.
