Yesterday: pl.blato, pl.krstenica, pl.laz, pl.dedno polje, pl.pri jezeru, pl.blato wonderful weather, beautiful views and brown larches. Toll still collected -10 eur. Parking before pl.blato packed and lower along the road edge.

They collected only for nice weekend, today no one, likewise last week on weekdays.

Yesterday again in our favorite home Bohinj mountains nasmeh

Over planina Krstenica along the valley below Škednjovec to the saddle between Škednjovec and Vrh Hribaric. There we happily found out no snow on ascent. So in nice and quite warm weather b. p. arrived at the top nasmeh

After descent to saddle and snack Vrh Hribaric tempted us. This peak also clear, snow only in deep holes full all the way to the top.
Already in the morning met acquaintance Rok (touring ski legend), who was fooling around on Kanjavec with his group, otherwise no one nasmeh

Larches mostly shed. This year stayed in golden colors quite late. Some nice specimens can be found lower, e.g. on planina Krstenica nasmeh

Pl.Blato - Pl.Krstenica - Mišeljski preval - Škednjovec - Vrh Hribaric - Debeli vrh (NW wall) - Pl.Laz - Pl. Blato

Following traces of little men, cairns and stone guardians of peaks, with whom I shared company today amid wonderful views.
Great scrambling in summit areas up to max. II degree. Much nicer eastern approach to Škednjovec with firmer rock than the western scree one.
Glancing at cairns unintentionally took me from Hribaric towards Debeli vrh. Scrambling on rock (up to II degree) suited me much better than the visible path in scree gully.
Tastes differ... mežikanje

Day passed in company of chamois... I adore quiet Mondays nasmeh

With the little man, Mišelj konec and Triglav are greeted from Vrh Hribaric

Interested in conditions on Krstenica and higher, e.g. Škednjovec? Is there any snow?

On Sunday, 30.10.2016, among others we did traverse of Škednjovec. There were only some patches of snow, which could be nicely bypassed.

Today from planina Blato to Krstenica and then above Mišeljski preval to Škednjovec. Up eastern, descent western ridge.
Slabs below almost dry, for ascent to ridge used right gully. Nice, demanding, weather already kitschy. nasmeh

The renovated tower on Triglav was visible.

Descent along the western ridge is technically easier.

The scree below Škednjovec is nothing special.

Yesterday, 26.6. from planina Blato to Škednjovec. No snow field on path over eastern ridge, slab slightly wet, otherwise with some caution no problem.
Luckily we were early and walked much of the way up in shade. At Mišeljski preval we stepped on snow - more for fun, as it can be bypassed. At top of Škednjovec pleasantly warm, while in valley they were "cooking".
Down over western ridge, which from top looks much harder to cross than it really is. Path excellently laid, and if stepping carefully, goes fine. Scree below Škednjovec still partly snow-covered, but unproblematic. Nice to "ski" on them.
Day almost cloudless and without hikers. No one seen at Vodnik hut, nor at Planika, nor on paths. Day before, holiday, probably different.
Met (several times) only couple from GB, who hiked from Krstenica over pl. Jezerca to Lazovski preval and back.
On Krstenica livestock already merrily ringing bells. Water at Krstenica of course there, cheese not yet (just started making it velik nasmeh

), at pl.- Jezerca water at trough not opened yet, so poor livestock licked the trough. On return only six remained there. Probably opened water that evening as young shepherd promised.
Path description says access 4 hours. Congratulations to all fast hikers. We didn't make it. One is disabled and success already that we got up at all. True, no need to rush, had whole day.
Otherwise day like from fairy tale. Birds chirping loudly, lots of flowers, sun, some cloud, beautiful mountains ... God really gave us wonderful country!

I still can't believe that we'll make it up there.

Snow patches on screes are unproblematic

Snow patches offer welcome cooling. You can also nicely ski down them

So beautiful that one would just stand and stand...

Gentians (as we call them locally) are also present

Yesterday from pl.Blato to pl.Krstenica and then further past pl.Jezerca to Mišeljski preval and along the eastern ridge to the summit of Škednjovec. The path from the pass to the summit is nicely marked with cairns, but the ridge is quite airy. At the summit a beautiful view awaits me in all directions. From the summit I descend along the western ridge and continue the path to Vrh Hribarice and then towards the valley of 7 lakes. Back via Štapc to pl.Ovčarija, pl.Viševnik, pl.pri Jezeru and starting point pl.Blato nasmeh

At Mišeljski Preval a view towards Triglav opens up

Already at the top of Škednjovec, view towards Debel Vrh

Krn is also nicely visible and everything in front of it :)

From the top of Hribaric the best view is towards Škednjovec

Already towards the valley of the 7 lakes

Prehodavci, there is very little water in Rjavo Jezero

Already towards Ledvica Lake, in the background Poprovec and Vršaki

Today the weather wasn't bad at all for visiting this Fužinski champion. mežikanje

Up the eastern, down the western ridge. The ledge was there where needed...dry. nasmeh

In the gully there's still quite some scree, so you have to be quite careful not to trigger stones on the one below you. From the western ridge we descended the ramp visible from afar. Steep wet grass and scree on rocks made the descent quite interesting. True, the path down here is shorter, but it wasn't easy at all.
Rain caught us only on the path from planina Laz to Jezero. No problem, we had already enjoyed. nasmeh

Today from Uskovnica to Škednjovec, no snow on the path, except from Studorski preval onwards a little snow patch that poses no problems. The rock at the entrance to the hardest part was dry, so no problems. More in the pictures nasmeh
