I'm curious about the prices for sleeping in huts on Vršič. For example Erjavčeva, or Poštarski dom?

Does anyone know if it's possible to sleep at some alpine dairy with the herders, in the hayloft..., on Fužinske Planine? Thanks

olgam, at Planina Viševnik the Draga Bregar Shelter also has a small shepherd's hut for sleeping. There's no hay though, but it's very simple and romantic. But you have to call ahead if they have space. LpLj

Hello, I'm wondering if any of you have experience sleeping on some pasture above Bohinj where there's no official hut but e.g. shepherds' huts. With 2 kids we'd go to one of those pastures and bring sleeping bags. Thanks for the answer. Mojca

Try the Sirarna on Velim Polju, cheap, but really nice welcome and top friendliness... Best regards.

Ask about Planina Ovčarija. I've heard many times it's possible there.

If you don't find anything exactly like that, I recommend Bregarjevo zavetišče on Planina Viševnik as the best approximation. Very authentic and warm (in the human sense ).
