In recent years I regularly visit the book fair, besides my "official work" I always check the new releases in mountaineering and tourist literature. If possible, I also attend some event on this topic.

Today I attended a discussion titled Gore in literatura - Gorski eter in beseda, which took place on the Writers' Stage of the Society of Slovenian Writers with guests: Dušica Kunaver, dr. Matjaž Kmecl, mag. Matej Venier and Željko Kozinc. The discussion was in the format of a live radio show on Radio Ars (RaSLO3), under the same title.
It was really varied and interesting and - too short.. nasmeh

Roughly - completely new is the revised Sidartin's Touring Ski Guide, and there's also the three-part guides of the Slovenian Mountain Trail (PZS).
A surprise for me was Pogačnik's Kar na Karnijce, which is a bit more than a guide, published by Narava. It came out in 2011.
I also noticed quite a varied selection of hiking guides around Slovenia.

Yesterday (27.11.) I visited the 35th Slovenian Book Fair and attended the forum for visitors titled "Along the Slovenian Mountain Trail and to the Dolomites" organized by PZS. The interesting discussion led by Manca Čujež was attended by well-known mountaineers and authors of mountaineering guides Andrej Mašera, Jože Drab and Gorazd Gorišek.
They presented the novelties from PZS publishing house, including (completed last year) the three-part guide "Slovenska planinska pot" and due to increasing interest from foreigners in SPP also a (shortened) guide in English titled "Slovenian Mountain Trail". Andrej Mašera compiled the selective mountaineering guide "Dolomiti po dolgem in počez", the last - fourth in the series - encyclopedic guide "Julijske Alpe - Osrednji del" was published, Gorazd Gorišek presented his guide "V zasnežene gore", and the revised Mašera guide "Zavarovane plezalne poti" published by Sidarta was also mentioned.
Among the novelties I noticed the new edition of Marjan Keršič-Belač's textbook "Plezalna tehnika", the guide "Najlepši turni smuki avstrijske Koroške" (Sidarta), the book by Czech alpinist Dina Šterbová "Hrepenenje in usoda - prve ženske na osemtisočakih" (Didakta). I would also mention the interesting, more travel-oriented collections of hikes by Željko Kozinc "Lepi izleti vabijo" and "Z menoj na izlet" (Modrijan). Some others can be found in the photos below.
Irena Mušič Habjan and Vladimir Habjan (right) also participated in the discussion1
