I've hiked it several times segment by segment, but never really along the entire route and so it has become an important trail again, because the goal is still far. To start I hiked the trail from Maribor across Pohorje, Uršlja gora, Smrekovec and Raduha to Robanov kot. After the initial ascent to Mariborska koča, where in my opinion the new warden hasn't quite found his way yet, I continue to Ruška koča, which is more like a Sunday inn than a real mountain hut. Then a descent into the cool Šumik and a gentle climb to Klopni vrh, where the stamp is guarded by a million-strong army. To Koča na Pesku, which they are renovating, I meet a wild boar , but she was more scared of me than I of her. Still, at the hut you can refill water and then follows the climb to Lovrenška jezera, now adorned with water lilies. After descent and ascent I'm already at Jezerski vrh, in between I also look at the water lilies on Ribniško jezero, and already see the new one of the most expensive mountain huts in our country. Although the price with PZS discount for shared sleeping is 32 €, I can only praise everything else, very good food and after a shower you almost feel new again. Ribniška koča also offers you sunset and sunrise. Early hour, golden hour and after a gentle climb I can already watch chamois grazing in the morning on Črni vrh. After descent follows Grmovškov dom, of which only the SPP stamp remains, the rest is gone. After climbing to Kope, I can already look towards Uršlja gora and Raduha far back on the horizon. I continue past Partizanski dom towards the last hut on Pohorje, where I treat myself to a good blueberry strudel, then through the valley hell to Poštarski dom for a cold drink. After a steep climb I'm on Uršlja gora, where at 15 o'clock there's no more crowd and also not much left to eat. Then a steep descent and long walk on the road to Sleme, where they are also renovating the hut, so I quickly move on. In the pleasant shade of the forests towards evening I finally arrive at Dom na Smrekovcu with a friendly warden. Here too you can shower and step fresh into a new day. Morning warm-up is just right on fairly flat terrain, where I greet the cows on morning pasture and two hikers who missed the hill, that's what happens if you prepare poorly and only trust technology. At Koča na Travniku I have breakfast and already continue towards Koča na Loki for blueberry štruklji. Although I start from the hut with the youth in the greatest heat and already with some km in my legs, surprisingly no one overtakes me to the top. I descend to Grohat for an excellent gypsy goulash, could have another one, only then I don't know if I could descend normally , in between there's also some climb, into the valley. The first part of the descent is quite demanding traverse with a warning about active rockfall, the second part a steep descent to the main road. I still walk along the road to Robanov kot, where I'll continue next time, but that's already a new story ...
