In mountaineering clubs it's now time for the last hikes. The last hike is a path into the unknown. The guiding section took its hikers to Slovenske Konjice to the viewpoint high above the town - to Skala. Two heights are recorded - 750 and 777m. I don't know which height is correct. Right from the center of the pleasant little town, which counts 6,000 inhabitants, we started our hike. The path was quite muddy, slippery in places. It's also quite steep in places. It has also a secured part with cables. In between we come upon a junction where a harder secured path to Skala leads. After a good hour we are at the viewpoint. The viewpoint is secured, up there is even a bench and table. Right at the top comes up also the harder path. Below us we have the whole town. On the way back we check out also the nearby Konjiški grad. It really was huge. Since it's Martin's time it's fitting to remember Martin a bit. In the pleasant locale they serve us duck, mlinci and red cabbage. Of course the local wine Konjičan from Zlati grič didn't miss. We also viewed Martinovanje at Zlati griču, which now after transition could be renamed to Češki grič, because now it's owned by Czechs. The huge cellar is underground and by size the sixth in Slovenia. We had also a guided tour of the cellar.
