We started the trail to Smrekovec with the family at Atelsko sedlo and climbed to the summit via Dom na Smrekovcu. The path is wonderful, easy, and especially panoramic from the top. Today there was a great view far around, only the conditions on the summit were quite wintery, as a cold wind was blowing strongly. There was just enough snow on the path for fun playing in it. The path was frozen in shady spots in the afternoon, but it was manageable, despite a few falls by our kids. Definitely recommend for a trip with our youngsters. Best regards Andrej

Smrekovec is beautiful even in winter, and the hut is open on weekends.

I'm wondering if anyone has been to Smrekovec in the last few days and what the conditions are like up there?
Maybe some info on the path to Komna? Is the path trodden, what's the snow like?

On Sunday it was a nice sunny winter day, both on skis or on foot, shame the hut was closed.

I had to break trail myself! At sp. Brložnik 30 cm, summit 40! But first, counts something.
